Congratulations to Patric Küry and team for their important article showing the effects of HERV-W on #MS-related smoldering neuroinflammation. #smolderingMS#HERVshttps://lnkd.in/dei54MKE
Dr Küry is doing critical research on mechanisms of disease progression in MS. None of the currently available disease-modifying therapies address compartmentalized inflammation (behind the BBB), impaired remyelination, neurodegeneration, or acccelerated aging, all pathologically defined mechanisms of disease progression in people with MS.
In this enlightening (excuse the pun) episode of "Pushing The Limits" podcast, we explore the transformative effects of photobiomodulation (PBM) on brain health with Liam Pingree, Co-Founder of Neuronic. PBM is revolutionizing the treatment of neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson's, concussion, stroke, Autism, ADHD, and overall brain optimization.
We delve into cutting-edge research and innovative technologies that enhance brain function and quality of life.
Key Topics Covered:
✅Introduction to Photobiomodulation (PBM):
◾ Definition and mechanism of PBM in the brain.
✅Applications of PBM in Neurological Conditions:
◾ Alzheimer's Disease
◾ Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
◾ Parkinson's Disease
◾ Concussion
◾ Stroke
◾ Brain Optimization and Cognitive Enhancement
✅ Scientific Research and Evidence:
◾ Overview of current research studies on PBM.
◾ Clinical trials and patient outcomes.
✅ Neuronic's Innovations:
◾ Neuronic's PBM devices and technologies.
◾ Neuronic's leadership in brain health
‼️ NewGait Research Alert! 📊
Our latest study on the feasibility of using the NewGait assistive device shows promising results for individuals with neurological disorders. Participants with strokes, MS, peripheral neuropathies, CP, and PD experienced significant improvements in gait stability, velocity, and step length. Most found NewGait comfortable and effective for correcting gait deviations.
Discover more about how NewGait can make a difference. Read the full case study: https://buff.ly/45HQisN. 👉

Have you registered for this CE opportunity from the Natus Neuro Training Academy? There's still time to sign-up for this October 24th eSeminar with Dr. Nicolas Gaspard that will:
➡Acknowledge the association between the IIC and electrographic seizures and SE
➡Review the evidence that some patterns on the IIC might associated with secondary brain injury and learn how to recognize them
➡Discuss the pros and cons of treating the IIC

Kim Spranger highlights the transformative effects of NewGait: "The NewGait allows the patient to experience a stabilized, normalized functional walking pattern. Many patients become emotional after walking with the NewGait for the first time because it's that stabilized gait pattern that has an energy to it that they have been missing or an asymmetry that's been there for so long that all of a sudden goes away."
This insight is part of the study "Feasibility of using the NewGait assistive device for correcting gait deviations in individuals with various neurological disorders" by Ksenia I. Ustinova and Joseph E. Langenderfer.

Key point: The similarity of spike properties in different epilepsy models suggests that a common mechanism may be responsible for spike generation.
