🚁 Why Stoke Air Ambulance Needs Its Own Dedicated Helicopter 🚁 In critical emergencies, every second matters. Right now, when the demand is high, helicopters can be stretched too thin, leaving some patients waiting longer than they should, or worse, without air support at all 💔 Having a dedicated helicopter for Stoke and the surrounding areas would mean faster response times, more lives saved, and coverage for our community. It’s not just a want it’s a need. Help us make this a reality! Together, we can ensure that no one has to wait for lifesaving care. https://lnkd.in/eC6YX5jT

Job well done
Yesterday afternoon we coordinated the medical evacuation from the container ship MSC Nadia IV 🛳, about 128km east of Narooma off the NSW South Coast 🌊 A crew member had suffered a medical episode and required medical assistance. We tasked the Canberra-based Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter 🚁 which winched the crew member aboard just after 2pm, transporting him to Canberra Hospital for treatment. Our Essendon-based Challenger rescue aircraft 🛫 also provided overhead support for the evacuation. Artist, painter, thinker, tinkerer, entrepreneur, business owner, researcher, gardener, art collector, multi-interest hobbyist, history buff, culture enthusiast, and adventure-seeker.
Build the hospital helipad there. Are you sure? You look at videos of air ambulance helicopters struggling to land on the helipad in very high winds, especially in Autumn and Winter, and you don't want a strong gush push the helicopter straight into the hospital building, catastrophe, and you are on the news on TV and radio. You think of everything, every alternative and option. Too dangerous today. Have the ambulance drive to the nearest assigned landing site and meet the helicopter there as it lands. You also can think about building a stand alone ER building that the hospital owns near to a nearby airport. Hospital Command and Control will direct the air ambulance to take the patient to that facility, and hospital ER personnel will be rushed to that facility. Think of everything, every possible scenario and situation.
