Mental health therapist building capacity, reducing overwhelm and recovering from burnout. I support individuals and businesses with Wellness Audits.
Yes James Cheng !! This was an amazing presentation!! My social worker heart was cheering the entire time because you were so on point with your explanations!! Key takeaways: — Soft skills are needed more than ever to be successful in today’s world. Learn to be a leader with empathy, adaptability, high communication skills and a clear vision. - We are all Leaders because we all have influence. How are you using your influence today? - Live life on purpose. When it’s your time to leave this earth, you won’t care how great your NPS is or all the reports you stayed up late to complete. You are going think about the time you got to spend with friends & family, or how you allowed yourself to experience joy. There were so many great points! How are you cultivating your Best Yes today?!!!!
James Cheng!!! Amazing job this morning! It was truly inspiring and motivating. Thank you! Schaumburg Business Association thank you for providing such great opportunities for learning! #inspiration #seizethemoment

Furlough Day 76: Sign up for activities that you have never tried I ran my first 5K today! It had been my goal to return to working out after finishing my MBA earlier this year and signed up in May, as a gift to myself. My goals for this race were to finish and run the entire duration of the race. I finished in 36:36; and walked a small portion of the hill at the end of the route. (but, I jogged 97% of the path!) I am pleased with the mere fact that I finished (and in the top 23% overall, no less). Enroute to the finish line, I grabbed my son who was sitting about 100 feet from the finish line waiting for me and carried him across the finish line. Success! I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but I am energized for the week ahead. My performance was so great, my wife signed me up for a veteran’s run in November to support our friend who is a US Army veteran. Does this mean I am now a runner? Today’s race taught me two important lessons. 1. Your first attempt is going to your best effort. If most of your future attempts are improvements, you have succeeded. Comparing yourself to yourself is necessary to continuously improve. 2. When your journey becomes challenging, take stock of the situation. It’s OK slow down to reenergize, regroup and then restart. Sign-up just to try something. Having experienced it at least once already makes you better.

SPARTANS AMONG US This last weekend we had 4 of our #Bedminster #team members unite for a Spartan Race! John Paciga and Roger Barlow are no stranger to these events as they always seem to be #training for the next one. Joining our seasoned #veterans in running up the mountain were Maggie Rogers and Kyle O'Neil. John always tells me that his favorite aspect of the race is that you get to #achieve something as a team. There is a #pride he takes in ensuring the #success of others, be it their first race or their fifth race. This #mindset is evident throughout our office. The #willingness to #help lift someone up, to #achieve their #potential and push past what they thought #possible. The view from the top is made even better with the right #company! There is always room on our team for those who feel the same way. Bedminster Leadership Team: Managing Director - John Kozakis, CFP Growth & Development Director - Jonathan V. World Braille Day, celebrated since 2019, is observed to raise awareness of the importance of Braille as a means of communication in the full realisation of the human rights for blind and partially sighted people. People with sight loss, just like any other employees, need the right tools to do the job – in this case additional tools that enable tasks to be completed with little or no sight. "We're NOT a Cinderella, because when we play our A-game, we can be the best team on the floor." ~ Jack Gohlke, Oakland Golden Grizzles Guard after upsetting # 3 Seeded Kentucky Wildcats in last evening's NCAA Tournament. What is a "Cinderella" in Sports and is there a Parallel to the Logistics Industry? In sports, a "Cinderella" team refers to an underdog unexpectedly excelling and overcoming the odds to succeed. This term captures the imagination of fans and media, portraying these teams as unexpected successes in the grand tapestry of competition. However, to the athletes themselves and those within the team, the label "Cinderella" doesn't resonate. They understand the immense work, grit, and belief in one another that brought them to this point. Their journey isn't a fairy tale; it's the result of hard, consistent effort and unwavering determination. This concept finds a parallel in the logistics industry, particularly within our team at Rhode Sense. It's not about magical transformations but about the relentless hard work, detailed planning, and teamwork that goes into our efforts. In logistics, as in sports, success is not just about overcoming visible challenges. It's about the countless hours of preparation, the attention to detail, and the collective belief that no obstacle is insurmountable. At Rhode Sense, we embody this in every project we undertake. We don't wait for a fairy godmother; we create our own destiny, one delivery at a time. Remember, a Cinderella story is only so to the outside world. To those who live it, it's a testament to their commitment and hard work. In the spirit of Rhode Sense, we continue to operate by our guiding motto: "Where there's a road, we'll find a way." Come check us out when you have LTL, Truckload, Flatbed, Cross Border, or complex Projects under analysis - Info@RhodeSense.com #Logistics #Teamwork #RhodeSense #SuccessStories #BeyondCinderella
