File under JUST BECAUSE WE CAN DO IT: Congrats Zhuang-Fang Yi , PhD and Regrow Ag! So more importantly who will pay for and benefit from using these data derived from public data? Do you also plan to contact all those farmers and landowners of these fields? These data, I assume, will be used to estimate their practices and GHG emissions but to what benefit to these farmers and landowners? #AI public data => private data layers #benefits #ghgaccounting #farmers #agriculture #ESG #insetting
Another day, another field boundary delineation from Regrow Ag! You are looking at field boundaries in France that captured Sentinel-2 imagery temporal inputs from 2017 - 2023 but viewed over the high-res ESRI base map. We delineated the whole country in ~ 5hours. I'm here, browsing through the fields rendered directly from our database and being super proud of the big team effort!

Great new article from https://lnkd.in/eRE6e7US and https://lnkd.in/e-gWWJFF on improving the cartography of human-centered avalanche susceptibility mapping (H-CASM), https://lnkd.in/esJGkc8z, #gischat Eric Delmelle Kari Craun With backcountry winter travel increasing in popularity, the importance of accessible avalanche safety information is crucial. Widely accessible avalanche backcountry maps use slope shading to show where avalanches are likely to start. This paper presents a new methodology called Human-Centered Avalanche Susceptibility Mapping (H-CASM), which shifts the cartographic emphasis of backcountry avalanche maps from the hazard of an avalanche starting in a specific location to risk to a human traveling in the terrain
