Success Story | #GEODIS recently accomplished a challenging and complex logistics operation in Napier, New Zealand, right after Cyclone Gabrielle.The project involved delivering 451 components and 133 containers, and the utilisation of a dedicated 23,500 sqm yard for handling. Our Project Logistics teams successfully navigated 50kms of transport amidst harsh conditions, including icy roads, snow, fog, and heavy rain. We opted for nighttime travel for greater safety and collaborated closely with authorities following the state of emergency. To avoid congestion, we implemented staggered loads and skillfully negotiated the steep uphill roads while ensuring reliable transit to the site. This successful completion highlights our focus on operating in a zero-harm environment, meticulous planning, and tailor-made end-to-end solution.
