This equipment provides a solution for Northeast Remsco Construction to drill in mixed soil and hard rock conditions, in a diameter range of 16” – 48”. PROJECT SUCCESS | Holistic structural assessment using WELLCAT prevented costly repairs and unnecessary shut-ins for a client in the UK North Sea. 🔧 The Challenge: An installation error caused centralisers on an HPHT platform conductor to misalign with the guide cans. This posed a risk of thermal growth during production, potentially leading to lack of support and instability of the well. 🔍 Our Solution: Our team conducted a thorough assessment of all scenarios and discovered that no remediation was needed. The production pressures and temperatures were sufficient to place the conductor into tension, maintaining stability. In non-production scenarios, thermal growth was minimal, ensuring centralisers remained within the guide cans. 💡 The Impact: By incorporating WELLCAT results, we identified that costly remedial work was unnecessary, highlighting the importance of comprehensive analysis.
