Effective June 17, 2024, these updates aim to streamline and enhance the claim processing procedures, ensuring that veterans receive the benefits they deserve promptly. Key Highlights: Medical Examination Updates: Clarifications on when medical examinations are warranted based on toxic exposure records. A report by ICES summarizes the findings of three studies exploring #sexbased differences in #mentalhealth service use between Veterans and non-Veterans in Ontario. Female Veterans had significantly higher rates of MH-related physician visits, emergency department visits and hospitalizations compared to female non-Veterans. These findings impart useful information for individuals or organizations with the ability to influence #healthcarepolicy, planning and delivery for the Canadian defence and #publicsafety sectors. https://lnkd.in/gMZRhs6i
