Georgia Bankers Association’s Post

GBA staff, retirees and several members of the Brannen family celebrated Joe Brannen upon his retirement today, exactly 44 years since his first day with the association. “The GBA Board took a big risk in 1980 by hiring this 32-year-old with no background in banking or association management. I was honored to have been given the opportunity, and I trust that l've played a small role in contributing to your success and that of the association,” Joe said in a recent letter to members. (Read the full letter at https://lnkd.in/efZdw4bP) Staff shared photos and video tributes, a resolution declaring July 15 “Tomato Sandwich Day” to commemorate the delicious lunchtime tradition Joe started years ago, and warm sentiments about the future of the association and Joe’s next chapter. Please join us in wishing Joe a happy and healthy retirement! 🎉 #retirement #georgiabanking #bankingindustry #staffmilestone
