Attending the 6th Annual Forum on Endocrine Disruptors, hosted by European Commission, with my new Elements Advisory backpack! 😄 Some key discussions on day 1 included: (1) The revision of the REACH regulation to simplify regulatory burdens while increasing protection for human health and the environment; (2) The inclusion of endocrine disrupting chemicals in the new UN-GHS guidance; (3) The promising concept of defining essential uses for harmful chemicals. The forum emphasized the need for coherent methodologies and holistic approaches, timely stakeholder information, and the creation of a common data platform for chemicals to enhance transparency and data accessibility. PS: PFAS is a forever chemical, but not forever essential 😉 Looking forward to tomorrow!
