Steve sums up the QOP perfectly. GOP Chair Ronna McDaniel demands the QOP primary be stopped after two states-and they accuse the Democrats of election interference? They would rather kiss the boots of their orange demagogue and disenfranchise millions of their own supporters, than support our democratic processes. Why? Because they know as the primary season goes on and Trump spews more hatred on the campaign trail, he will alienate more and more voters. MTG uses the word "eradicate" when speaking about members of her own party. Steve succinctly describes the meaning of this word with horrific visual images. The thing that needs eradication in our country is fascism and the fascist members of the former GOP, now known as the New American Fascist Party. We eradicate them at the polling booth, not literally, obviously. Space Laser Klan Marm Greene then states that she supports (and others in the QOP) Trump's "policies." Policies of retribution, dictatorship, voter suppression, attacking the media, weaponization by the government against his perceived political enemies-I guess all those trips to Russia helped form his "policies." And this is what that dingbat and other feckless members of the GOP support-the end of Democracy. We CANNOT allow them to succeed. In this day and age of corporate greed constantly beating down the average American, it fosters a feeling of political apathy among many. We cannot lay down and watch Democracy wither and die under GOP oppression. We have to get the vote out. Volunteer in any way you can, stuff envelopes, get involved in a writing campaign, drive voters to the polling booth-whatever you can do to help defeat the insanity of the republican party. The biggest thing you can do to defeat this horrific fascist movement and the convicted orange rapist is by VOTING BLUE IN EACH AND EVERY ELECTION! "When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving the cross." ~Sinclair Lewis Does that quote sound familiar...remember Trump hugging the flag? Do you remember him holding the bible upside down and backwards outside the church in Lafayette Square? I'm sure you've seen the American Taliban in their beat up pickup trucks with the Trump flags and other flags dangling from the truck bed...this is today's republican party-or more aptly-The New American Fascist Party. VOTE BLUE!!!!

Simon Rosenberg's messaging worth spreading: "... juries and courts have already found that Trump committed extraordinary misdeeds, and there is no question about what he has done: - A jury of his peers found that he raped E. Jean Carroll in a department store dressing room. - A court has determined he committed massive, decades-long financial fraud, and the State of New York has asked for $380m in fines and penalties. - The Colorado Supreme Court has determined that he led an insurrection against the United States, and may still get barred from running in this election. Of course Trump has promised to end American democracy if he somehow ends up in the White House next year, confirming the gravity of these historic and unprecedented political crimes and why disqualification has to be a serious option. - He stole America’s secrets, lied to the FBI about it, and shared those secrets with others. It may be the single greatest betrayal of the country in our history. - He and his family have taken billions of dollars from foreign governments, putting all sorts of foreign governments first and Americans last and establishing a norm of corruption that has no parallel in modern American history. All of these things are facts. They have already happened; and we know from polling that large numbers of Republicans - 20%-30%-40%- would consider them disqualifying. As a matter of messaging we should stop talking about “91 indictments” and “if he is convicted” and talk bluntly and forcefully about the crimes themselves, and the judgments courts and juries HAVE ALREADY rendered. For we can say now, without hesitation, that Donald Trump is a rapist, a fraudster, an insurrectionist; that he is the most corrupt politician in modern history and has serially betrayed the country."

Anyone remember Geraldine Ferraro’s vice-presidential debate against George H.W. Bush in 1984? No? Well, if it’s any consolation, I did watch it but I don’t recall a thing. What about Lloyd Bentsen debate with Dan Quayle in 1988? All I remember was Bentsen’s line: “I knew John F. Kennedy and you’re no John F. Kennedy.” Ouch. What about Al Gore’s face off against Jack Kemp in 1996? Or Dick Cheney’s against John Edwards in 2004? Or Joe Biden against Sarah Palin in 2008? Let’s face it. Vice-presidential debates aren’t particularly memorable. But tonight’s will be especially important, for four reasons: As I said yesterday, most voters know Trump and have made their minds up about him but they don’t know Kamala Harris. Hence, a major goal for both Tim Walz and JD Vance will be to give voters a fuller picture of her (although, obviously, opposite pictures). Second, Vance is setting himself up to be Trump’s heir apparent for the Republican presidential nomination in 2028, so his character and temperament, as well as his positions on issues, are potentially important to the future. Third, although a vice president normally has few responsibilities (FDR’s vice president John Nance Garner famously described the office as being "not worth a bucket of warm piss”), the vice president is a heartbeat away from the Oval Office — a fact that may be especially important when we’ve already seen two assassination attempts on a presidential candidate and when the oldest presidential candidate in history is running for office (whose incoherence is growing by the day). Finally, tonight’s debate is likely to be the last debate before Election Day in a truncated general-election campaign. So this could be the last time both sides of a polarized nation tuned in to hear the other side’s arguments. So, you might want to tune in.
