Mutualink’s life saving solution is being implemented in the Belen School District. Last month Belen’s first responder participated in an onsite active shooter training. During the exercise, all police radios failed when they entered the brick building. The alert SWAT commander instructed Dispatch to use Mutualink's PTT instead - this seamlessly fixed an important issue. Mutualink’s system gives administrators, emergency dispatchers and responders a live video, radio, and floorplan access of what’s happening inside the school. “Other districts have reported the Mutualink system has cut emergency response times by 50 percent.” Our technology integrates seamlessly with your already existing security equipment. While the training was for an active shooter, our system can be used for natural disasters and fires as well, saving minutes when every second counts in any emergency. Thrilled to share the launch of the new project "Insecure Lives and the Policy Disconnect" I will be working on alongside colleagues from the Centre for The Analysis Of Social Exclusion and the universities of Leeds, Bristol, Ulster, De Montfort, Huddersfield and Sheffield Hallam. The project develops the concept of 'multiple insecurities' and explores how people experience multiple issues around money, housing, work, health and caring responsibilities. We will show the impact of the experience of multiple insecurities, how these combine and may prevent access to opportunities, harm wellbeing and make some people not able to benefit from polices to support disadvantaged areas. In turn, these policies may not be able to achieve their full potential. We will be building on this new evidence base to support policy-making around what can be done. https://lnkd.in/ezVx85Vp

"Live or Die." There is no inbetween with me. Every day I am above ground, I promise to live life to the fullest. When I die, it will be without regret and my tank will be empty. Semper Fidelis
I am now a candidate for the Pasco County Mosquito Control District Seat 1 which will be decided November 5th. https://lnkd.in/gR-6RX5c We need another Pasco County Mosquito Control District debate between the candidates. One where ALL THE CANDIDATES participate. This video is telling but it does not tell the whole story. The Two Incumbent Commissioners should have been there to have their side of the story told. Right or Wrong, they are currently your elected representatives for this "special" taxing district. We have a great County asset that just needs fiscal leaders to guide them into a strategic position to provide the services they are legislatively required to give. If we can adjust their spending habits and create an environment of innovation and collaboration then PCMCD may still be in existence next election cycle. Failure to get their spending habits in check and there will no longer be a special taxing district and this service will be dumped on an already bloated County government. It's not a hard task if we elect America First, TEA party candidates come November 5th. Vote for David Wallis PCMCD Seat 1 and Gary Joiner for Seat 3. Together we can get this fixed lickity split.

We convened leading academics, government officials, and funders to map out what a ten-year research program for atrocity prevention strategies and tools could look like. Many called for more analysis of the effects of different sequences or combinations of policy actions, as well as an expanded atrocity prevention toolbox.
