OpenStreetMap is celebrating 20 years of its Openness! It was on August 9, 2004, Steve Coast founded #OpenStreetMap aka OSM with a vision of "The world’s most up-to-date, complete and universal map. Oh, and FREE." I started mapping in OSM in 2012, and later slowly started building the communities and evangelising OSM. OSM made me a strong advocate of #OpenData. "Mapping for Tomorrow: Building Resilience through OpenStreetMap Contributions" is a blog series I have started to answer the questions people keep asking me such as what is the motivation for you to contribute to OSM?, are you getting paid from OSM? etc. Two articles have been published, third one is on the way. If you think anything more to be part of the article, let me know in the comments. Happy Birthday Awesome OSM! https://lnkd.in/gJ-32HCa OpenStreetMap Foundation | Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team #Maps #mapping #geodata #opengeodata
