A green chapter added on the roof of our new assembly hall! ☀️   We recently moved into our new assembly hall - an exciting step for Geovent! But the building wasn't quite finished yet. On the roof we were planning an important green initiative: the installation of our new solar panels!   Together for green energy: With support from the EU EEnergy programme (SMP-COSME-2023-EENEE) and a strong collaboration with StillingSolceller and SolarBalance ApS, we have taken a concrete step towards providing green energy for our production.   The investment in solar panels is central to our sustainability journey. That's why UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 on responsible consumption and production is also an important part of our strategy. Not least in an industry where environmental impact is often a challenge. We want to grow responsibly - while minimising our climate footprint in relation to our level of activity.   🔋Facts about the new solar plant 192 solar panels: The plant can produce approximately 100,000 kWh per year. Energy storage: The system includes six batteries of 14 kWh each. Optimised management: With the help of Solar Balance's innovative system, we can choose to store, consume or purchase electricity at the most efficient times.   We are excited to continue our journey towards greener production and look forward to the positive changes it will bring in the coming years!   Want to know more about Geovent? 🌱 CER Groupe is going green! 🌱 We have taken another significant step toward sustainability to reduce our environmental impact and operational costs. We have invested in a solar park featuring over 6,200 panels, delivering a capacity of 2.8 MWc—enough to cover the annual consumption of 600 households. This project was made possible thanks to the close collaboration with Green Energy 4 Seasons s.a., a Walloon company in the photovoltaic sector. With over 8,000 installations and more than 200,000 panels installed. RABLE has been highlighted as Solar Magazine's "Project of the Week" for our joint project at Voedselbank Amsterdam. This marks the third recognition in recent months for our innovative approach to solar installations. Challenge: The roof at Voedselbank Amsterdam was unsuitable for traditional solar panels due to structural weight limitations. We addressed this challenge with lightweight solar panels from Solarge and our specialized understructure that distributes the load to the roof’s structural supports, installed by Groene-Woningen. Impact: This project not only helps Voedselbank Amsterdam reduce their energy costs but also significantly contributes to their sustainability goals. By overcoming architectural constraints, we are able to expand the possibilities for solar energy installations in similar structures facing similar challenges.
