Geovent A/S introduces a new mobile extraction unit - GeoGo Black W3! We are pleased to present our latest addition, GeoGo Black W3 - a mobile extraction unit that ensures safety and flexibility in workplaces that require efficient handling of welding fumes, grinding dust, and more. With a built-in filter system consisting of a pre-filter (spark arrestor) and a main filter, the GeoGo Black W3 achieves a filtration efficiency of at least 99%. It is IFA-approved in Germany according to the W3 standard, making it suitable for welding both black and stainless steel in Germany. The GeoGo Black W3 is housed in durable, powder-coated steel cabinet, ensuring long durability and minimal maintenance. For welding applications requiring additional protection against substances like VOC’s, optional activated carbon filters are available. Additionally, an automatic start/stop function can be included, enabling the GeoGo Black W3 to automatically activate when connected equipment, such as a welding machine, is in use. What else do you get with GeoGo Black W3? User-friendly design: Digital control panel with features such as LED indicators for operation, clogged filter alarm and filter replacement. It also includes buttons for turning the extraction on and off, as well as a display for data such as operating hours. Efficient and quiet operation: The built-in 1.1 kW fan is powered by a 230 V motor. The motor operates quietly at 70 dB(A) and delivers an airflow of up to 2,250 m³/h. Flexible arms: The unit is equipped with a Geovent extraction arm of your choice - WING, ESA or ASA-4 arms, in ø160 mm with lengths of 2 or 3 metres. Mobility and stability: With sturdy rubber wheels, including two front swivel wheels with brakes, the unit is both easy to move and stable during operation. This versatility ensures that both workers and their surroundings are protected from harmful particles when using the GeoGo Black W3. Is everything in place? Well, of course! There’s always something exciting to see in our assembly department. The first test fit of a specially manufactured GEARex 130 coupling for the main drive train of a ring rolling mill is just one example. With its impressive dimensions of 2.7 meters in length and a weight of around 4 tons, this custom-made coupling is anything but ordinary for us as well. It was designed for vertical installation in an existing scale chute. The challenge: a very compact installation space and high torques that need to be transmitted. This coupling allows us to transmit a maximum torque of 4 million Nm with a coupling diameter of less than one meter – an impressive power density that demands the highest material standards. To enable this extraordinary power transmission, a specially alloyed CrNiMo quenched and tempered steel is used. Additionally, to withstand the harsh environmental conditions such as scale, dust, and cooling water, the coupling received a special corrosion protection coating. EndureGMC™ formulations use mineral fibre technology to excel in corrosive environment applications, as well as operate for limited durations at temperatures as high as 800°C (1472°F).
