🌈 On Friday at the #queercon2024 I got the chance to meet German chancellor Olaf Scholz and many other important actors in the fight for human rights, such as Prof. Dr. Beate Rudolf from Deutsches Institut für Menschenrechte, Thomas Haldenwang from Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV), Julia Ehrt from ILGA World and Sarah Kohrt from the Hirschfeld-Eddy-Stiftung! 🇹🇷 While I joined as a queer DE&I professional and activist to shed light on the terrifying situation for LGBTQIA* in Turkey, it was also very important for me to support my fellow Bulgarian activists Denitsa Lyubenova from Deystvie and Stana Iliev from #AllOut 🇧🇬 In our fight for democracy, the rights of LGBTQIA* people are such an important indicator of the stability of our free world and even more: it's a barometer for a thriving economy.
