Fun article to read. Proud that Travelers has been sponsoring SHE Golfs events for a few years now to help broaden the appeal of golf. My first experience with golf was shortly into my career. I was asked to join a corporate outing and had to pass because of no prior experience (= wish I had started to learn earlier). Like most others who had never played before, who wants to embarrass themselves in front of management? Now that I have seen how corporate golf outings can bring people together, I try and share/introduce the game to as many people as possible! Remember for those starting, it's not how your golf game performs on the course, it's how you spend the time engaging with others. PS - Pro tip for the rookies...don't sit back and wait for a follow up invitation for the next outing. Be proactive and seek people out to play with so you can get more comfortable playing one of the most fun and frustrating games out there!

PGA of America Execusearch, please start looking out for PGA of America Members, the owners of the PGA of America. Questions they need answered before they agree to take a position: - How many assistants are on staff? - Is there a shop manager? - Are there shop attendants? - Are there starters? - Are there bagroom attendants? - Are there cart attendants? - Are there golf instructors on staff? - Are there course rangers? - Are there driving range attendants? Is this position and other golf staff positions paid fair wages when compared to similar clubs in the area? Is the person this position reports to okay with a delegation style of management, or is a hands-on approach preferable? You can state a compensation number for a position, but without the above questions answered, that job (like all the others PGA of America Execusearch posts) could be a nightmare or a dream. Is there a performance improvement plan policy in place? To prevent this position and other positions on the golf staff from being terminated without cause, which happens far too often in the golf industry? The PGA of America Members pay you and other Career Service Consultants well. Who holds PGA Career Service Consultants accountable? How are they held accountable? What KPIs must they meet or exceed on a weekly basis? Monthly basis? Annual basis? The PGA of America is not the federal government operating off a bottomless pit of taxpayer dollars. The revenue acquired from the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup is nice, but it should not be wasted. Honestly, why even have PGA Execusearch since there are so many companies in the industry that provide the same services.

Good morning! 🏆 This is called fierljeppen, which is a sport in the northern parts of the Netherlands (Friesland, Noord Holland) 🇳🇱 This is so very interesting. It's not about the speed, as one guy tried to run real fast, but balancing the rod when climbing and then trying to fall. The last guy executed it so well! I wonder if this had a history like a marathon, and this somehow necessitated out of an actual situation! How often have you been in a situation where you got wet on your way to work? How do you handle it? #Culture #Sports #Balance

A good strategy is important, not by speed and maths is important in taking the successful steps in achieving the goals.

The key to success….teamwork. This past Friday, the kids had a sleepover at my parent’s place so we took a trip down to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL for the Longines League of Nations team jumping competition. This team show jumping event features riders from across the world competing for their nation. While we didn’t see the “team” portion of the competition, we did catch the Futures Prix…which is the next generation of horses (and, in some cases, riders) that are trying to make it to the next level. Watching these world class athletes and their equine partners work together and attempt to clear multiple jumps that are 1.40m to 1.50m is so impressive. Both have to be on the same page the entire time. The horse and rider need to work together to be successful. If either the horse or rider are not giving clear instructions, it will be difficult to succeed. How does this translate to the “business world?” It’s the same concept. No matter what part of the company you work for, everyone has a goal to achieve…sales targets/quotas, profitability, efficiency and timelines. If all parts of the organization are on the same page and doing their part, there’s a higher chance of success for everyone. Communication is so important in business. Talk to other parts of the organization. Make sure you have an understanding of what their goals and objectives are for the business. See how they align with what your department is working towards and find ways to work together for a successful outcome! #opentowork #hireme #jobhunter #jobseeker #jobsearch #jobhunt #teamwork #networking #salescareers #salesopportunities #salesmanagement #marketingcareers #marketingopportunities #brandmanagement #brandmanager #equinecareers #recruiters #horses #floridajobs

Meet Ryan McLernon! Our Performance Lead, resident golf pro (questionable) and dad joke king 👑 How long have you been working at TAA? ✨ Nearly 3 years. Favourite part of your job? 🚀 The team that I work with. As much as I enjoy marketing in an agency and the daily challenge it provides, it would all count for nothing if I didn't do it with a team I love. What is your screen time? What screen? What's the most interesting or quirky job you've ever had before joining this team? 🪰 I was part of the good folks who walked around Grey Lynn, spraying on the daily when we had the Queensland fruit fly infestation. If you could have dinner with any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and why? 🎤Dua Lipa, absolute rocket! And if that's too shallow then Tom Brady, the GOAT. Somebody who was overlooked and spent his whole career grinding day in day out proving the doubters wrong even long after they stopped doubting. 7 Super Bowl rings, played at a high level into his mid 40s. Unheard of longevity. Also just a great guy, somebody you would want to spend time with. At least I do. What's your favorite word or phrase, and can you use it in a sentence right now? 💭"I was thinking the other day" whether or not that is my favourite phrase is up for debate, but holy shit I say it a lot. In all seriousness a line and a half is "if we are all thinking a like, nobody is thinking." It can get me in trouble from time to time, however I strongly believe that a contrarian/devils advocate has a big part to play in any team whether that be in business or sport. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have three items, what would they be? ⛳️ Golf clubs, a paddle board, and a snorkel.
