Fluctuation in our moods is a normal human reaction to the triggers around us, yet instead of us having humanity surrounding us to hold and regulate us, we live in a fucked up world that over stimulates our triggers, over stimulating our biochemistry, causing a chain reaction, then we call it mental illness. The alcohol, like any other foreign body crossing the blood/brain barrier into the brain, causes inflammation, sometimes antagonising the NMDA receptors creating excitability, which create the mood swings. Because this is systemic not linear, there’s probably an emotional reason behind the consumption to drown the pain, possibly T trauma’s or some other reason for the harm to the brain, such as stressors from toxins in our environment or zoonic spillover from all the animals being shunted around from excessive capitalism, or work exhaustion from trying to prove oneself in a world that values financial metrics over humanitarian ones. Have you ever asked yourself why we’re so accepting of mental health and why it’s in EVERY country across the globe 😤 Hi i’m Sam, Founder of www.WITH-Humanity.co.uk Is continuous improvement in an authentic world, human relationships, & functional social systems important to you? The #findings that the #brain gets bigger if a #patient is both #anxious and #depressed also imply that the actual #effect of depression on brain #shrinkage has been underestimated because of the opposite masking #effect in the #amygdala . The #investigators emphasized the need for future #studies that examine anxiety #comorbidity as a means to better understand the #independent role of each #disorder in brain structure. The findings further #highlight the need for effective #treatments to #improve long-term #mental #health and prevent #additive effects to #neurocognitive disorders later in #life . https://lnkd.in/g_kWnhqC
