As building enclosure consultants, there are times when a roof that needs assessed is inaccessible. This could be due to a steep slope roof or a roof constructed out of materials such as slate or terracotta that can compromise safety. When this happens we can utilize robotics. Drones are UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) that at their most basic level are a form of autonomous robotic technology, allowing engineers and roof consultants to safely access areas that may be too dangerous.
