How Do You Know What Time Zone To Hire From? 🕰️ ( video in description) Here are some real-life scenarios exemplifying what time zones are best to hire from: 👨 Bob in New York City (ET): He’s hiring developers and is cool with a few hours’ overlap with his team in Europe. Hence, he might opt to hire from Serbia 🇷🇸 , Poland 🇵🇱 , or Ukraine 🇺🇦 . 👩 Jessica in Denver (MT): She needs an executive assistant and prefers someone closer to her time zone. She will gain more timezone overlap with LATAM talents. Colombia 🇨🇴 or Brazil 🇧🇷 might be ideal for Jessica's assistant role, considering they're closer to her time zone. Sales reps and similar roles should ideally match the time zone of their market. For instance, if targeting the US market, consider hiring sales reps from LATAM. For roles requiring less immediate team communication or interaction with clients in different time zones, sourcing talent from Europe might be more suitable. Ultimately, the decision depends on your company’s goals and workflow. What works for another company may not work for you.
