Our #Challenger project is shapping up to be the next wxciting story in #southaustralia. The recent #ultrafine results has started to create the first real sign of uncovering #gold #mineralisation since the discovery of the #challengergoldmine in the 1990s. The coincident gold and interpreted structures is an early indication and the team is now looking to add to the exploration program. The #Challenger gold story is one that needs to be highlighted and #T88 #Taiton aim to be the torch bearer. https://lnkd.in/gvESQiux

Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF)'s exhaustive new report gives loads of compelling evidence on why new battery composition and technology and the move to a circular economy are making #deepseamining for 'critical materials' completely unnecessary. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gJhzgjNF This research mirrors our own recent white paper and exposes deep flaws in the narrative of actors who contend that mining the seafloor is essential for the transition to a green economy. 👉Read the BCI White Paper: https://lnkd.in/gGWqpN-p Martin Webeler #defendthedeep #nodeepseamining #sdg14

Deputy Head of Global Issues and Innovation & Counsellor for Environment and Oceans at Delegation of the European Union to the United States
The Environmental Justice Foundation has recently published a report putting forward that deep-sea mining is not only an environmental risk, it is actually not needed for a clean energy transition. The report predicts that a combination of a circular economy, new technology and recycling could cut cumulative mineral demand by 58% between 2022 and 2050. https://lnkd.in/gqqqAbVy

In any business, it is so important to understand the entirety of your supply chain. It was incredibly insightful to tour Stewart Port this past week with Newmont Corporation colleagues and Mayor Angela Brand Danuser to better understand how copper and gold concentrate from the Brucejack Mine and the Red Chris Mine is exported and discuss new opportunities. #CriticalMinerals
This week I had an incredible opportunity to travel to Stewart, BC and see the loading of copper concentrate from Newmont Corporation’s Red Chris mine. It was an invaluable opportunity to be joined by Matt King, Madeline Morones, Darrell Remple, MBA, John Mullally, Keivan Hirji and a few others where we collectively built a better understanding of how our roles intersect, how we can continue to collaborate and be better stewards in the communities we operate in and the positive impact we have in this region. Very proud of this team!
