We couldn't have asked for a better person for the backend than our Martin. Besides writing perfect code, he's also pursuing his drummer career. A few days ago, he won two more Angels from the Czech Academy of Popular Music!

Being a big fan of good music has helped me explore different genres that I never liked before. Guitar, my favorite instrument ( even though I can't play one, Yet) led me to Rock and Roll. Everything about it, the sound, lyrics, melodies and rhythm. Some of the songs are like good shots of adrenals. They just instantly move you to do something. You could work and work when you're listening to some 😂😂. I created this artwork from the love and inspo I got when listening to AC/DC's back in black. The first guitar riff 🙌. Hope you like it and I would really like to see some other Rock and Roll fans in the comment section. Live, Love, Rock!! #graphicdesign #madewithadobe

March is #MusicInOurSchoolsMonth. Did you know that scientists have found that spiders prefer classical music to rap music? 🕷️🎻 In an experiment, spiders made their webs as far from the speakers as possible when rap played but near the speakers when Bach played! No matter if your students are aspiring musicians, scientists, or biologists—they will need important higher-order skills. Help prepare them for their next steps with CAE’s performance-based assessments and tailored instructional materials. #criticalthinking #problemsolving #edchat

https://lnkd.in/gyTr8DKk live on apple music. 28 new instrumentals. "The art of wrong" is how i've managed to be a full time producer and composer since 1988 with no trust fund or "something to fall back on" ie re-inventing my self once again and again. "The art of wrong " is the fine line of walking on the tightrope of too little or too much experimentation, too little or too much knowledge and honestly too much fear of making mistakes or too little fear of making mistakes. Creativity is a giant ball of potential. Like Clay, How do we shape it? What we eventually find is something that somehow sustains our reason to live and keep creating. Thanks for listening. Thanks to Neal Desby for all the support and inspiration and studies that have led to the realization that "the art of wrong" has no destination. It's a lifetime journey we can only strive to improve on. thanks for listening. to all who might actually read these Linkedin posts :)

Curriculum guides will often say things like "standard" or "traditional" notation (often implying the staff) but never really specify which standard or tradition that notation should be from. For guitar players playing in popular music genres, tab, or chord charts are traditional. In Nashville and other similar contexts, Nashville Numbers is the standard. For drummers, a rhythmic shorthand, or no notation at all could be the expectation. For a producer working in a DAW, the standard is TUBS notation or MIDI grid notation. You might even use the depicted sound waves as a form of notation. All of these notations should be explored in educational settings as authentically as possible within their respective contexts. #musiced #authenticity #musiceducation #musedchat #musicteaching

Today, we're working on the Major And Minor Keys In Thirds (page 22) from the Rubank Intermediate Method for Flute. There are some HARD things in this lesson. Aside from working on the challenges, this is an important one to come back to, as the pattern of thirds, whether major or minor, is used a lot in music. 📚🎸 Book recommendation for guitar players! 🎶 I've got the perfect pick for your Wednesday reading! This book has been a staple in my teaching for years, and it's tailor-made for guitarists who don't read music. The examples are super practical, fitting for all musical styles. Whether you're into rock, jazz, or blues, you'll find something valuable here! Personal anecdote time: As a self-taught guitarist, I used to fear that diving into music theory would restrict my creativity. But oh boy, was I wrong! Learning theory as a teacher opened up new musical dimensions for me. 🌟 Don't be afraid to explore—it's liberating! #GuitarBooks #MusicTheory #NeverStopLearning
