Clean out your Outlook inbox and you might see this message. I know it's just a fun affirmation, but the message is not true in the least. Quite the opposite, in fact. Email can be some of the least productive things you do each day. Bad email etiquette (did someone say "reply all?") and unnecessarily long email conspire to keep you from doing far more productive things than email. So don't be fooled by Microsoft's attempt at motivation. Emptying your inbox, while satisfying, is not productive! #email #productivity #inbox #lifestrategy #wholisticproductivity

Have you ever wonder about the difference between the "Focused" and "Others" tabs on Outlook? 🤔 Well, wonder no more! Allow me to provide you with a clear and concise explanation. 📧✨ The "Focused" tab in Outlook is like your personal assistant, diligently sorting and displaying emails that are deemed important based on various factors. It takes into account your email usage history and message content to identify messages that are likely to be of higher priority. This means you can easily locate and respond to crucial emails without getting lost in the sea of messages. 📩💼 On the other hand, the "Others" tab is where you'll find emails that are considered less urgent or lower in priority. It's like a holding area for emails that can wait. By separating these messages from your "Focused" tab, Outlook helps you prioritize your time and attention, ensuring that you're focusing on the most critical tasks first. ⏳📨 Now, you might be wondering how Outlook knows which emails belong in which tab. Well, the magic lies in its machine learning capabilities. Outlook learns from your actions and preferences, continuously improving its ability to accurately categorize emails. You can even train Outlook to move specific emails between the tabs, customizing your inbox to fit your unique needs. 🤓📚 So, the next time you open Outlook and see the "Focused" and "Others" tabs, remember that they're designed to streamline your email management, boost your productivity, and ensure you never miss an important message. 🚀💼 Share this for more productive tips. #OutlookTips #EmailManagement #FocusedInbox #ProductivityBoost #InboxOrganization

Love it or hate it, you can't escape email. It's time to take control 😀 I don't know any company that provides "email training". We're just expected to know how to deal with it. This means: • No clear plan or guide • You learn on the job • No system Over the last 2 years, I built an email system that works for me. The benefits are: • Clear workflow • Fewer distractions • Easy to manage If you don't have a system, give this a try. I recommend you experiment for a few weeks then modify things to suit your work environment. We're all different. Let me know how you get on! 🤩 👍 If you like today's post. 💬 To let me know what you think. 🔁 To help share. #productivity #email #schedule #inboxzero #system

I can relate 😉 A 2020 survey by consulting firm Creative Strategies found that Gen Z ranked Gmail fourth on the list of collaboration tools, behind Google Docs, Zoom, and iMessage. Not only do Gen Z workers often prefer these faster forms of communication, but many also have a sense of inbox fatigue. Thanks #GenZ and Jeff Kallay 👊 #emailfatigue #beyondgmail #moretolifethaninboxfatigue #letstalk Mike Hartwell
