Cold selling has faced all the headwinds in recent years, and as a customer of a number of B2B products, I like that (as a seller, it's a new challenge to overcome). It's all about warm (or lukewarm) introductions from trusted advisors. Nothing is better than using Cabal for doing that. Great take by Corporate Bro on leveraging your investors; but to be most effective, you can't just send a generic email. Work with your champions to make their help easy (this applies job referrals too). People want to help and see you succeed (especially investors that have skin in the game), but they especially want to help if it's less of a heavy lift.

Investor sentiment has improved in 2023 compared to 2022, reflecting growing optimism that the Federal Reserve may soon moderate its interest rate hike policy. Despite real U.S. GDP growth accelerating to 4.9% year-over-year in the third quarter, inflation remained unchanged from the previous month in October, holding steady at 3.2%. This has contributed to an 18% gain in the S&P 500 year-to-date, as investor confidence strengthens. However, a separate survey indicates that nearly 70% of U.S. consumers anticipate a recession in the coming year. With the direction of interest rates remaining uncertain – given the potential for strong economic data to reignite inflationary pressures – both investors and consumers exhibit mixed views on the market's trajectory, even as stocks appear to demonstrate resilience for the time being. Sometimes investor sentiment garners attention because it provides a glimpse at how investors might behave. In this way, sentiment would influence their investment behavior, and in turn the wider stock market. To be sure, the link between sentiment and the stock market is not linear. In fact, many consider extreme sentiment readings as a contrarian indicator. If sentiment swings sharply in one direction, some investors may consider this a signal to do the reverse.
