+14M€ in ARR Generated 🚀 | Founder @Iberiansales, I help businesses to grow revenue, scale sales and optimize teams | Fractional CRO & Startup Advisor
Create value, create value, create value, create value... I don't know how often I had to repeat this to myself during a cold outreach. This week I saw this post from Thomas Warner and again amazes me how sales reps are not thinking about creating value from the very first sentence in their messages. The reason is simple: Imagine how many SDRs, ISVs, and AEs are trying to reach out to the same prospect you are. Maybe 20 or 100?. everybody is trying to grab your prospect's attention, business is wild. The only way to get someone interested in what you have to say is by giving something, and this something is called value. But not only, needs to be mixed with creativity. (Creativity is what makes apart the top sales performers) If you are in Sales, you are in some sense a psychologist, you must understand the emotional triggers, the feelings, and what drives that person on the other side of the internet to respond to your message, click on some link, or even buy your product. Hence, more creativity and value » More replies, leads, and so on... Few tips: 1. It is better to waste 10 min searching & analyzing each customer's pain points and values before the outreach, rather than saving 1 hour using automated sequences with low or no value added. 2. Try Value proposition canvas, if your company already has this done, ask your manager. Understand the customer's job, value proposition, and pain points driving the customer to make a decision 3. Less text, way less text... Forget intros that don't add value: Hope this email finds you well, I saw your company is based in Blablabla... Nobody is interested in scrolling your email to understand your "catch". Be concise, especially if your prospect is a C-level. Remember the 100 SDRs trying to grab his attention, and think to yourself if your email or message is relevant enough compared to the other 1.000 in his mailbox. 4. Start thinking as if your customer, imagines you sitting at his desk, having his work and responsibilities, do the exercise at least 3 times a day or before every email outreach sent. Would you open or respond to that email if you're the prospect? 5. Creativity exercise: What is the most creative way you can tell someone how your service or product creates value for him? How to grab the prospect's attention without harassing or spamming? Remember, creativity is different than "catfishing". Emails with the subject: "Urgent", "Very important", or "This is an emergency, open now or never" are not creative at all. Video-message with personalized thumbnails are a good example of creativity
Not sure I've ever felt so compelled to reply to an email before, 10/10 insight! #you're

Thank you Jason Fried & 37signals for improving the email threads experience in HEY! I hope your approach turns into a standard soon. 1. HEY! video down here -> https://lnkd.in/gvTQBbxx 2. I bet when all email apps does the same we'll ask "why did it took so long?" 3. My previous request (8 months ago): -------------------- Dear Microsoft 365: I wish Outlook could hide -by default- all blocks of names and email addresses from every message in the thread. From: [name] <email> Sent: <date> To: [click to view] [click to hide] Subject: [ ] Meeting details (Teams, Zoom, etc.)? Yes, hide those too. https://lnkd.in/gHG7d86s --------------------
