I'm grateful to Energy Impact Partners for recognizing the work we're doing at World Kinect to support innovation in decarbonization for our businesses and those of our customers. It's certainly been an exciting endeavor and rewarding for me both personally and professionally to be part of the team leading our initiatives within World Kinect Sustainability Ventures. One key takeaway over these last several years is that there is no “silver bullet” when it comes to solving the vast complexities of the energy transition. Bold exploration requires collaboration and by partnering with early-stage companies through EIP, as well as other forward-thinking companies in the energy sector, we can successfully tackle this global challenge. #sustainability #energytransition

Last year, Irdeto was awarded a Silver Rating for our sustainability initiatives by EcoVadis. This performance ranked us among the top 10% of all companies rated and was our highest score since we began tracking in 2016. While this is undoubtedly a wonderful achievement, one of the most crucial components towards a greener and more accountable future is not to be blind-sighted by interim successes. We must constantly improve and learn from others, and this is why I'm excited to be joining the upcoming sustainability panel on September 15 at IBC where we’ll discuss strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts designed to improve sustainable innovations as well as the overall industry footprint. Legacy. For me, the fundamental premise of sustainability is encapsulated in the Native American adage - " We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors but borrow it from our children". Being invited to the certification award by the Ventia Sydney Harbour Tunnel (SHT) team, though I've since moved on from that role, is indeed satisfying and an acknowledgement of the hard work dedicated to the delivery of an Excellent ISC Operations Rating. (Especially in 12 months - For reference ISC Operations Ratings typically take 3 years). More importantly, the Ventia SHT team are currently operating a 30+year old asset that is "Excellently" more sustainable and efficient than when the Ventia SHT Team took over. What more is there to say. The Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset the Ventia SHT Team are currently borrowing will be in tip-top shape by the time it is returned.

🚀 Exciting start to the OnePointFive (opf.degree) Academy Sustainability Consulting Accelerator fellowship! 🌍 Last week, we dove into the history of sustainability and explored key regulations and frameworks. We also learned about net zero targeting using the SBTi approach. Curious to see how Kenyan companies are committing to sustainability, I checked the SBTi dashboard and found 9 companies listed, including Safaricom PLC. Evaluating their commitments, it's inspiring to see their dedication to reducing scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions by 43% by 2030 and 74% by 2050.
