I’ve always had a deep passion for software products – not just the building process behind them but the people who use them, the experience they get from them, and how these tools impact their day-to-day lives and businesses. One of the most critical aspects of any software product is the users. Without them, the most brilliant technology doesn’t matter. Their acceptance, experience, usability, and the overall quality of the product are what truly define its success. That’s why the team at Gooro Consulting has been driven to create Product Confab. It’s a space where people can come together to talk about the software products they use every day, whether it’s for work or personal projects. From navigating the interface to exploring unique features and discussing what works and what doesn’t – Product Confab aims to provide a platform for honest, in-depth discussions that will benefit everyone involved. I truly believe this initiative will be invaluable not only to the users – who deserve to feel heard by the product team and developers – but also to the product teams themselves. By understanding what users really want, what they struggle with, and how they use the product in real-world scenarios, the product team can gain actionable insights and create better solutions for their audiences. At Wistia, CEO Chris Savage adopted a "Two-Pizza Teams" approach, famously espoused by Jeff Bezos, optimizing for agility and responsiveness to customer feedback. The essence of this strategy is simple: form small teams, each small enough that two pizzas would suffice for a team meal. These teams, numbering between five to eight individuals, function like mini-startups within the larger organization. This shift allowed Wistia to leap from releasing 12 product updates a year to an astounding 72! 🍕🚀 By focusing on instinct-driven innovations fueled by direct customer feedback, rather than solely on data-driven decisions, Wistia has not only increased its product updates sixfold but also cultivated a culture where rapid experimentation and embracing gut instincts lead to greater outputs and customization. (Post 2 of 3 )✨ What We Achieved in 2024 This year has been transformative for both Bajco Technologies (www.bajcotechnologies.com) and Meal Dynamics (www.mealdynamics.com) I’m proud to share some of our key achievements: ✅ Strengthened Agile Practices: We established new procedures at Bajco Tech, conducted extensive training, and elevated our team to operate at a higher level achieving un-paralleled success ✅ Product-Market Fit (PMF): Meal Dynamics achieved PMF for its first module, Accounts Payable Automation, and deployed it successfully with our pilot client. (Definitely had to go back and redo some of the fundamentals on our back-end for adoption during the pilot, but got something better as a result so it worked in our favor beautifully) ✅ Enterprise Services Launched: Bajco Technologies began providing critical support to enterprise clients, including taking over full development and providing managed IT services like DevOps and engineering services. ✅ Personal Growth: I joined a startup school to explore new strategies. While I realized it wasn’t the right path for me and Meal Dynamics at this time, the lessons learned were invaluable. Sometimes, figuring out what doesn’t work is as important as discovering what does. These milestones are just the beginning. Every challenge has taught us something new, and every success has reinforced our belief in the potential of restaurant technology.
