🚀 Exciting Updates on NeuroHaven! 🚀 I'm thrilled to share that I’ve expanded upon the capabilities of NeuroHaven, an AI ChatGPT dedicated to supporting the Neurodivergent community. Here’s what’s new: 1) Emotional State Recognition: NeuroHaven can now recognise and respond to a wide range of emotional states. The Emotional State Recognition feature in NeuroHaven is designed to detect and respond to a user's emotional state through a combination of keyword analysis, contextual interpretation, increase in punctuation, analysis of typing patterns, ellipses and hesitation. Once emotions are detected, they are categorized into broad groups such as Stress/Anxiety, Frustration, Sadness, Anger, and Positive Emotions.Emotions are also classified by intensity—mild, moderate, or severe—based on the detected cues. Tailored Responses - Acknowledge and Validate: The system begins by acknowledging the detected emotion in a supportive manner. For instance, if frustration is detected, it might respond with, "I can sense that you're feeling frustrated. That can be really tough. How can I assist you with what’s making you feel this way?" - Offer Support: Depending on the detected emotion, it suggests appropriate actions or offers relevant advice, such as calming techniques for stress or problem-solving strategies for frustration. 2) Learning and Adaptation: Based on user feedback and interaction outcomes, the system continuously refines its emotional detection and response capabilities. 3) Enhanced Interaction Analysis: I’ve refined NeuroHaven’s ability to break down and analyse conversations. 4) Proactive Support: NeuroHaven can now follow up on previous conversations to check in on how users are feeling and to see if they need further assistance. This continuous support loop ensures that users are never left feeling alone or unheard. 5) Resource Integration: I’ve added direct access to a wider range of external resources, from mental health support hotlines to online communities across the globe. This ensures that users can get the help they need, whenever they need it. These updates are all about making NeuroHaven more empathetic, supportive, and effective. I’m excited to see how these enhancements will help even more people in the Neurodivergent community thrive. Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. 🙌 #neurodivergentacceptance #Neurodiversity #AutismSupport #MentalHealth #AIforGood #InclusiveTravel #DiversityInBusinessTravel #NeurodiversityInBusiness #TravelIndustryInclusion #Inclusion #NeuroHaven #Autism #AIInnovation #SupportCommunity #TechForGood #AutismEmployment #AutismEmpowerment #NeurodiverseWorkforce #DisabilityInclusion #SelfAdvocacy #AutismAcceptance #DEI #Diversity #EmpowerAutism #Neurodivergent #WorkplaceInclusion #AutismSelfHelp #businesstravel #corportatetravel #NeurodiverseTalent Original post with link to NeuroHaven:
🌟Exciting News: Introducing NeuroHaven! 🌟 A Safe Space for the Neurodivergent Community. I’m thrilled to share a passion project I've been working on—NeuroHaven, a free supportive Generative AI chat I have designed specifically for individuals who are Neurodivergent or for parents of children with Autism. What is NeuroHaven? NeuroHaven is an AI-powered chat platform that serves as a safe space where people can seek help and support. Whether you struggle with social interactions, face challenges in understanding conversations, or simply need a supportive ear, NeuroHaven is here to assist. It’s also a resource for those who are un-diagnosed but feel they might be Neurodivergent, offering support without the need for a formal diagnosis. Why Did I Create NeuroHaven? Navigating the world can be uniquely challenging for those who are Neurodivergent, diagnosed or not. Whether it's interpreting social cues, dealing with anxiety, or finding the right support networks, the right resources and guidance can make a world of difference. NeuroHaven was created to bridge this gap, offering tailored support to help individuals and families better understand and manage these experiences. This chat is designed to help, but it’s important to note that it’s still under development and is not a replacement for professional advice. It’s always advisable to seek guidance from a healthcare professional for more comprehensive support. How You Can Help: Feedback Wanted! I’m reaching out to my LinkedIn network to ask for your honest and structured feedback on NeuroHaven. Your insights will be invaluable in refining and improving the platform to better serve those who need it most. Here are a few ways you can help: • Try it out: Use NeuroHaven and explore its features. • Share your thoughts: What do you like? What can be improved? Any features you think should be added? • Consider the user experience: Is the platform user-friendly and accessible? Your feedback is crucial in shaping NeuroHaven into a truly supportive tool for the Neurodivergent community. Try NeuroHaven here: https://lnkd.in/ggDugfbK Thank you in advance for your time and insights! Leading the global Energy Transition and Utilities Customer Sector Capability Team and Head of Retail Utilities and Central Markets in the UK
The benefits of AI are being realised already in this exciting breakthrough.
The healthcare sector has made great strides in applying innovative AI capabilities to improve physical care, but I’m particularly inspired by how this technology can play a role in supporting those with neurodiversity. This recent Computing-- article discussed how AI can be used to better detect and diagnose autism within children, allowing for the right support strategies to be put in place at earlier ages. This breakthrough marks a notable step forward in neurodevelopmental care, and I’m excited to see what other ways AI can be used to address healthcare beyond the physical. LinkedIn Trainer | LinkedIn Coach | Social Media Consultant | Baby Boomer Specialist | Business Owners | Job Seekers | Nonprofits | Making LinkedIn Simple, Easy & Fun!
Tuesday tip: Periodically scroll through the most recent posts (5-10) in your LinkedIn feed and look for posts with information of value to your LinkedIn connections and followers. Or you could go directly to the Activity section of the profiles of people on LinkedIn who consistently share such content. Once you find a post or article that provides value to your people, then comment on it or repost it, as I've done with the post below. Should you repost it, be sure to add your point of view to add additional value to the reader. Since many of my LinkedIn connections and followers are Baby Boomers, a post like the one below by my colleague Patrick Baker of Prime of Life Tech is apt to provide value to them - both for their own needs and for the needs of their parents. As someone who has extensive informational technology background and more recently has focused on the IT needs of older adults, Patrick is very well-qualified to speak to the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and this population - both the benefits of AI and the challenges it brings. Who are the types of people whose posts or articles consistently strike a chord of you? Are you commenting or reposting their material? Engaging with the activity of others on LinkedIn both provides value to your connections and followers and also helps to get more eyeballs on the posts and articles shared by others. And thanks, Patrick, for your insightful and thoughtful posts on LinkedIn! #linkedin #linkedinposts #linkedinengagemnt

🌟 Custom GPTs are fascinating, and I am excited to say I have created my own! Having seen three grandparents go through the difficult process of living with dementia, I have been inspired to create and share the initial iteration of "James"*, and an AI chatbot specifically designed for people with early to mid stages of Dementia. James is designed to have gentle conversations about familiar topics, reflect on past and current memories, ask open ended prompting questions, and non-judgementally bond with their interlocutor. While there are a host of ethical and technical questions to review and answer before anything like this becomes a productionised product, this is a fascinating look at how a few weeks of fine tuning prompts and investigative querying can lead to a custom chatbot, without writing a single line of code! The early stages are always the most challenging but also the exciting in any field. With custom GPT's only a few months old there is a lot to learn and understand, but I hope work like this can continue to have positive impacts on society and healthcare. * Yes, James is named after the Rover James from Top Gear 🚗 #analytics #learning #newproject #ai #customgpts #openai #aiinhealthcare #launch #nextdataleaders #dementiacare #dementiasupport https://lnkd.in/gnZJQ67f

Many of us assume that technology adoption—and AI adoption, in particular, is a daunting process for older adults. We have this image of the struggling senior citizen, which clouds the product design process, often forcing a reluctance to push AI features within products for the aging population. This notion may have been valid at one point in time. Still, it’s likely an ageist assumption among the younger generation developing this tech, as research has shown that AI adoption is rapidly increasing for people aged 65+, with over half of this population in the U.S. being aware of ChatGPT. In reality, various applications of artificial intelligence can add convenience, access and companionship to senior care. As AI-based product leaders, we must prevent ourselves from assuming a lack of understanding of our aging users. Whether it be personalizing and simplifying medical care or mitigating social isolation, there are various ways in which artificial intelligence can be used to improve the lives of older adults; even some of the more abstract and complex implementations of AI can and should be seen within reach. AI can play a helpful role in assisting us through some of life’s most complex challenges, especially in health concerns faced by older adults.
Can AI improve the health and well-being of older adults?
