🌍 Did you know? Bac Giang is one of the major industrial hubs in northeastern Vietnam, supported by a favorable location and well-developed infrastructure. 🚛🛣️ ☀️ The province is also leading the adoption of rooftop solar power, with 46 out of 52 businesses now generating 147 MW of clean energy. 🌞💡 While some might argue that industrial parks are adopting rooftop solar to meet ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) standards and enhance competitiveness, it also significantly supports Vietnam’s push for energy efficiency in its rapidly growing industrial sector. This shift reflects the rising demand for sustainable practices as global markets continue to require higher environmental standards. 🌍🌱 ☀️For those in the renewable energy space, Solar & Storage Live Vietnam is the perfect platform to showcase your solutions and explore opportunities in this thriving market. If you're interested in participating, feel free to reach out to Alice Hoàng Anh Chevalier or Phu Nguyen to discuss how your business can benefit from this event! 5 INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT SOLAR POWER IN VIETNAM YOU MAY NOT KNOW ☀️ Vietnam is the ideal place to produce solar energy because of its tropical environment and year-round sunshine. But are you fully informed about this renewable energy source in Vietnam? Let's examine the next five fascinating facts: ➤ Ninh Thuan - "King" of solar energy: Ninh Thuan province is currently leading the country in the number of solar power projects (as of early 2020, Ninh Thuan province has 54 solar power projects in operation and will be in operation). With abundant sunshine, Ninh Thuan has become the clean energy center of Vietnam. ➤ Vietnam is starting to appeal to investors in solar energy: Vietnam's goal of promoting the growth of renewable energy is drawing in a lot of international and domestic investment. ➤ Environmental Protection: By lowering the quantity of CO2 released into the atmosphere and giving a clean energy, solar energy helps to preserve the environment. ➤ Negative impacts on environment: regular cleaning of solar panels is necessary to keep them operating correctly, and this uses a lot of water. Solar panels need to be recycled and disposed of correctly at the end of their useful lives in order to prevent pollution. ➤ Vietnam is among the Top 10 nations in the world for solar power output: the Renewable Energy Inventory 2021 of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) places Vietnam eighth internationally with 16,504 MW of solar power. This is a really outstanding outcome. Do you know any other interesting facts about solar power? Please share them with us! Malaysia’s PETRA Unveils ‘Solar BOLEH!’ Initiative For Affordable Solar Panels The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), led by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, has introduced the affordable ‘Solar BOLEH!’ initiative to facilitate wider adoption of solar energy through home solar panel installations. PETRA has partnered with the AEON Group, Bank Simpanan Nasional, and SOLS Energy to execute the program, which falls under the People’s Solar Transition Initiative (Solar@PETRA Initiative). The initiative aims to promote broader participation in the national energy transition agenda by expanding access to solar installation schemes and financing options for domestic users. Through this public-private collaboration, individuals can easily subscribe to solar […] Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dHNttSTc #solarenergy #alternativeenergy #solarpv #pvsolar #photovoltaic #cleanenergy #cleantech #climatechange #middleeast #africa #india #asiapacific #asia #malaysia #renewableenergy #solarenergy #southeastasia

Dear Partners, In Finland, as in many parts of the world, we’re investing heavily in ‘green’ energy – wind and solar solar systems. We currently have a large solar farm under construction here in Kalanti, South-Western Finland, expected to produce more than 200 GWh of energy per year. The farm is in a location where solar radiation levels are similar to northern Germany and will consist of more than 380,000 high-capacity bifacial solar modules. The panels will produce clean solar electricity equivalent to the average annual consumption of approximately 28,800 households, while saving up to 17,600 tons of CO2 per year. Unfortunately, while investments of many billons of euros are being made in this field, only 5–10% of them come from Finnish companies. Such projects are supported largely by the government. This means that technology around ‘green’ energy is being insufficiently developed. One reason for this could be that in our technical universities, we have too few faculties and professors in energy and heat transfer. We also have too few companies in these sectors who are seriously focusing on these global opportunities. The difference is drastic when compared to other Scandinavian countries, who are extremely strong in this field. I encourage Finnish technology companies, universities and our government to take strong action – rather than simply talking about it – in changing direction towards green energy systems. Vahterus is already on this track towards finding sustainable solutions, along with you, our valued partners. Together we succeed! Mauri Kontu Founder and CEO #vahterus #heatexchangers

Malaysia's Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Petra) launched an affordable program called "Solar BOLEH!" to encourage wider adoption of solar energy in homes. This initiative collaborates with AEON Group, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) and SOLS Energy to make solar panel installation more accessible. Here are the key takeaways: • Easier Subscriptions: People can subscribe to solar installations at AEON branches nationwide. AEON cardholders get special benefits like double reward points. • Enhanced Affordability: - BSN offers solar financing facilities for public servants. - SOLS Energy provides a zero-capital method for homeowners. • Complementary Programs: "Solar BOLEH!" complements the government's existing solar rebate program, SolaRIS, implemented by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB). The Ministry aims to reduce the carbon footprint in the electricity sector by: • Fostering public-private partnerships for clean energy transition. • Increasing solar generation capacity through rooftop installations on houses and buildings.
