I loved yesterday’s opening discussion about Gen Z and I would love to go a step further. 🔍 With Gen Z's entrance into our coffee scene, it's clear to me that the future of coffee lies in innovation and adaptability. For roasters and coffee shop operators, understanding and catering to this tech-savvy and value-driven generation is crucial. Here’s how I think we can adapt: ✨ Embrace Technology Gen Z lives online, so digitalize their customer journey. Introduce a user-friendly app, offer mobile ordering, and leverage AR for an immersive coffee experience (that’s the coolest part 🚀). Make sure your online presence is as strong as your espresso (or even more intense)! 🌱 Sustainability is Key Sustainability isn't a buzzword for Gen Z – it's a way of life. Showcase your true commitment to PEOPLE x PLANET x PROFIT with ethically sourced beans, eco-friendly packaging, and above all transparent business practices. 📖 Tell a Story Every coffee bean has a tale, and Gen Z loves to hear it. Let’s share the journey of your coffee, from farm to cup. Highlight the farmers' stories, the roasting process, and the craft behind each brew. Isn’t this what baristas love to do anyway? 👁️ Quality Over Quantity For Gen Z, less is more if it means better quality. Focus on a curated selection of exceptional coffees rather than an overwhelming menu. Remember, a few outstanding options trump a dozen mediocre ones. They might seem “non-technical”, but stereotype them at your own peril. Many I have talked to understand and care about technology and the Internet better than you may expect. And many of them hate the current state of restaurant tech.

So when steve lewis and approached Lean Kitchen Network to see if we could help - we started by asking ourselves the question: How can we make the food as memorable as the venue itself? We didn’t just want to add a few new dishes; Coyote Ugly wanted to be known as THE destination for authentic American fare. Our approach? Small plates packed with flavour, shareable snacks that fit the party atmosphere, and pricing designed to encourage guests to try more. Think of it like tapas with a twist! And we didn’t stop at the kitchen… We connected Coyote Ugly with Wing Fest to bring a whole new crowd into the venues, adding extra buzz and driving footfall.
