IS IT TOO MUCH CONTENT YET ? The creator economy has transformed the way individuals and small teams produce, distribute, and monetize content, thanks in part to AI and Web3 technologies. AI tools have democratized the media space, enabling creators to streamline production processes, enhance creativity, and engage audiences at scale. This has lowered the barrier to entry, allowing anyone with access to these tools to become a content creator, from artists and writers to entrepreneurs and educators. Web3 elements, such as NFTs and blockchain technology, further empower creators by offering decentralized ways to monetize intellectual property, build communities, and ensure greater control over their digital assets. In the past, "content creation" (it wasn't called Content Creation that time!!!!) was largely concentrated in the hands of a few, with studios, distributors, financiers, traditional media companies and other gatekeepers controlling distribution and access. Only those with significant resources or connections could produce and share content at scale, limiting opportunities for independent voices. This centralized model created barriers for aspiring creators and entrepreneurs, restricting innovation and diversity in media. Today, with the rise of the creator economy, fueled by AI, Web3, and social platforms, this landscape has radically shifted, allowing individuals to bypass traditional structures and reach global audiences directly.
