Looking back to when we first were introduced to this property we saw a building that ticked all the boxes for a successful rebranding possibility:

❗ Outdated F&B areas
An outdated breakfast area facing a high footfall street, and the potential for adding a new F&B area with a terrace.
✅ Match with our concept where we outsource the F&B areas, seamless integrate them with our Lobby and love that our guests get to mingle with the locals.
❓ So what did we do?
Together with the experienced team of Pandox our project team made a plan for how to organize and refurbish the building in the smartest way, both from a commercial and sustainable point of view. It's a process of value engineering.
➡ All the 246 rooms are refurbished and look brand new. Some elements are new, a lot where kept, many where upgraded. This goes both for technical and building elements and surfaces. Bathroom tiles, glass doors, suspended ceilings are only some of the elements that were kept.
➡ FF&E was more or less all outdated, so we added new FF&E matching our design, ready for a new life cycle and to handle our high occupancy.
➡ The common areas are upgraded and adapted to our concept. The traditional reception was replaced with our speedy self-service digital check in/out solution. BOH areas were reduced and opened up to the guests.
➡ Two F&B areas were separated and rented out to external operators, but still seamlessly integrated with the hotel lobby.
The finished building combined with the lean and digital Citybox operational model makes a very solid hotel product.
No longer outdated, and ready to overperform!
