The vast majority of the vendor/partners I spoke with expressed that this year felt different. More vibrant. Better energy. More engagement. So much engagement that I believe it effected session attendance.  I spoke with several attendees who regretted not coming to the session I hosted on Fees vs. Ancillary Income who referenced the high level of engagement on the Expo floor as the reason for not attending the session (and others).  But who knows, they may have just being polite. Even this morning, the traditional getaway day, I ran into high level executives wandering the expo floor looking to connect with select partners and learn more about how they are innovating in the multifamily space.  I have never seen that on the last day of the conference before. So I don’t know if it was; The multiple partners recording podcasts or.. NAA hosting TedTalk(ish) talks in the Expo or… Super compelling content/offerings from our vendor/partners… Regardless, the Day 3 take away was that the Expo was a success to all who participated in my highly un-scientific poll. 🔎 Stay Vigilant! 🚀🌕 Recently, some of us in the industry have received emails from the so-called "Lunar Resources Congress 2024," inviting us to be speakers. However, there are several red flags: The website looks suspicious. Despite listing previous year's attendees, there is no evidence of any past conferences. No affiliate institutions, no peer review of submissions. List of speakers copied from another conference. It's crucial to be cautious and double-check these invitations before engaging. Prudence is key in our field. The silver lining? Our industry has grown enough to attract (alleged) predatory conferences.
