Getting ERS-2 GOME vibes when it comes to tiny icelayers on optics. Back in 1997 at SRON we modelled this for ERS-2 GOME as this caused a disturbance in the radiometric calibration. Problem was that this water was trapped inside the unit, which they later solved in SCIAMACHY. The telescope was created by Johns Hopkins University and launched on July 1. The purpose of this research is to achieve the maximum magnification under the smallest effective aperture while ensuring the luminous flux and resolution angle of the telescope. The telescope attempts to use nano-engraving technology, nano-array technology, mesoporous mounting technology, film inlay technology, and nano-optical materials for the first time to make the lens flatness error reach 10nm. I was able to get more practice with my telescope setup with the relatively clear sky, in addition to getting the rust off of using Registax. This image took about 8 frames, where I had to down sample the resolution so the program wouldn't crash (it's 32 bit, so limited to 4GB ram), and then during the stacking process I binned back to the higher resolution. You can definitely see some absolutely beautiful dark filaments (I didn't focus on the sun spots as much this time) with some mini prominences all around the disk edge. The dark waves all over the disk is not due to granulation per se, since hydrogen alpha focuses in the chromosphere, just above the photosphere. I tried using a DSLR, even a-focal, and the scope just doesn't have enough back focus unfortunately.

The Working Principle of FOG The principle of the Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) is based on the Sagnac effect, that is, the same two light beams emitted by the same light source propagate in the opposite direction and converge at the same observation point. If there is an angular velocity with respect to the inertial space perpendicular to the axis of the plane where the closed optical path is located, the travel distance of the two rays in the forward and reverse directions is different. An optical path difference occurs. The optical path difference is proportional to the angular velocity of the rotation, so we know the information between the optical path difference and phase difference, and we can get the rotational angular velocity.
