What financial wellness tools does your workforce have on their wishlist? Yesterday, our VP of Sales and Partnerships visited Schwarz Partners in Indiana, and got an inside look at their thoughtfully designed workforce solutions. It’s inspiring to see companies like Schwarz evaluating innovative ways to support their employees’ financial wellness. #HR #FinancialWellness #EmergencySavings

I got the grand tour today at Schwarz Partners, LP by the one and only Sue Seitz, CPA. The innovations they’ve implemented into their growing company are a testament to their dedication to their workforce. And some corporate structures are more complex than others - this one indeed has some complexities to it! 😉 But their set up - from policies to benefits and everything in between - has been intentionally and thoughtfully designed to prioritize their very diverse workforce. It’s a big job. And Sue works with the precision and execution of someone who believes good enough isn’t good enough. It’s companies like this that will always be early adopters of new technologies and improvements. I knew from our previous Zoom calls that they had a great team of problem solvers, determined to making an impact. But finally meeting them IRL today in Carmel, IN really made their dedication to performance and culture shine. 🥶 Thanks for the coffee, Sue - next time, diet cokes in the warm sunshine!☀️

Bring it on, Evel Knievel When I was eight, I owned a black Raleigh BMX Burner and dreamed of being Evel Knievel. My older brother, aka my “stunt planner,” had one job: to make sure my stunts went off without a hitch. We lived next to a steep hill that led to a construction dumping ground scattered with bricks and mortar—perfect for the daredevil event we had in mind. I was ready for the stunt of my life (back then, helmets weren’t part of the plan). Off I went, leaning in hard, swaying from side to side, momentum burning in my nostrils. Ahead, I saw what looked like a 40-degree angled ramp—and it was. That was as far as my BMX went. My bike stopped. I didn’t. Moments later, my “stunt coordinator” appeared, breathless, looking down at me with fear in his eyes, praying I was still alive. I was. He helped me pick up the bike, and we headed home for supper. That’s just how things went back then. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I’ve relived this moment many times in my life. During leadership meetings, I’ve charged forward without pausing to consider the consequences of my words and actions, leading my team headlong without realising the potential impacts; like my childhood stunts, these moments taught me the hard way: personal growth and success come when I choose balance over excess. True growth requires us to pause, consider the impact, and focus on thoughtful, intentional action rather than impulsive leaps.

Your people are your biggest asset, and it's critical you treat them that way. Last night, we celebrated an incredible year with our amazing Chapter 2 team at our Christmas party—and it was a reminder of just how important it is to value, support, and celebrate the people who make everything possible. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that the people around you are what make or break a business. At Chapter 2, we’re constantly striving to bring in the right people—those who see the bigger picture, share our values, and want to be part of something meaningful. Building a great business isn’t just about revenue or growth; it’s about creating a space where people feel they belong, thrive, and can bring their best selves. Watching our team grow, adapt, and support each other has been the most rewarding part of this journey. Last night wasn’t just about celebrating the successes of the year but about honouring the incredible individuals who’ve made it all possible. How do you build a people-first culture in your work?

Every year is a journey. This one? It stretched us, challenged us, but it also brought fun, fulfillment, and some of our best work to date. Here we are: strong, healthy, ready for growth ahead. Of course, we faced challenges, but we always reminded ourselves that In the end, it’s quite simple: create extraordinary work, with a team that finds meaning in what they do, for clients who trust us to bring their vision to life. None of this happens without our team at Verve I United Playgrounds. Their energy, grit, and resilience are nothing short of inspiring. Together, we’ve grown stronger, taken bold steps, and proven that even in tough times, we rise. And of course, our incredible clients. Every project is a partnership. Your trust and courage fuels everything we do, year after year. For that, we’re endlessly grateful. Finally, to our colleagues at United Playgrounds: together, we’re building something remarkable. Next year will be one for the books, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish.

How often do you, as a leader, pause to truly connect with your team and ask, "What can I do to support you?" The Christmas period can be a whirlwind for many, both professionally and personally. This makes it all the more vital to check in, show genuine care, and give your time. A simple conversation can make a world of difference in ensuring your team feels seen, supported, and truly okay.
