As the 2024 Olympic Games came to an end over the weekend, the ethos of ‘doing more with less’ and Paris’ sustainability efforts deserve a spotlight:    Emissions cut:  - Paris 2024 aimed to reduce its carbon footprint and is aligned with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, accounting for all carbon emissions.   - Cut carbon footprint by 50%, compared to previous Games including London 2012 and Rio 2016    Innovative Venues:  - Paris embraced the principle of reducing and reusing. 95% of the venues consisted of existing facilities that either pre-existed or have been temporarily assembled structures that will be disassembled and repurposed after the Games.  - The Aquatics Centre has solar panel roofs, has been made from recycled and bio-sourced materials, and includes green spaces to attract animal species.  - The Olympic Village exemplifies sustainable urban planning, emphasising resource efficiency, community well-being, and environmental stewardship.  To read more about Paris 2024 Sustainability: https://lnkd.in/gmPzJRr3 #SustainabailtyGoals #Paris2024 #Olympics
