On April 23, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor (#DOL) released a final rule, effective July 1, 2024, that increased the salary thresholds for the executive, administrative, professional, and highly compensated employees exemptions under the #FairLaborStandardsAct (#FLSA). This rule will require employers (except the State of Texas) to raise the salaries of #exempt #employees or reclassify those employees as #nonexempt.
