Going to a trade show can be expensive particularly for small businesses, so it's even more important to have a well laid plan to make your presence at the trade show a success. 🏆 Here are 15 things that will help you have a successful trade show experience: 1. Have a plan and a goal for the show 2. In advance, promote that you will be at a certain show 3. Focus on a clear theme 4. Have a clear sales pitch, practice it and make sure the staff is comfortable with it too 5. Staff your booth adequately 6. Have a compelling offer for your target group 7. Collect interested parties contact details 8. Engage with viewers quickly and in a friendly manner, offer relevant/useful swag if budget allows 👑 Make the booth inviting, memorable and eye catchy 👑 9. Create an attractive booth that tells a compelling story about your product or service 10. Use strategic lighting 11. Pay attention to colour, texture and layers 12. Make sure that graphics are high, so when people are engaging the main message and logo can still be seen. Have brochures/business cards ready not just QR codes 13. Customize it so it’s distinct from all the others 🗓Plan in advance 🗓 14. Hire a professional (me and my team) 👩 to help you plan and design your booth 🥁And (drum roll).... 🥁 15. Follow up after the show! You got the intel, now it's time to serve your future clients

Where's the commotion?! It's the first day of school in our town. The anticipation from the kids, parents, and teachers is off the charts. You can FEEL the excitement while waiting outside. Everyone looking their best, some decorations to liven up the joint, and then BAMMM...the school year is in full swing. It got me thinking about the start of a trade show. Same type of feeling leading up to it. It's stressful, exciting, a little bit nerve-wracking, and sometimes a bit of a 💩 show. (all apply to the first morning before school...) I've always felt there should be some kind of fireworks display when the doors open. And yet, it's typically nothing. Literally, nothing happens. The security at the venue starts letting people in and checking badges. It's very ho hum, at best. I loved Julius Solaris's video post about the Connect Conference in Milwaukee. You could feel his excitement talking about the Regception. The journey leading up to show open is HARD. Whether it's an individual exhibitor or the company putting on the event, how can we build off the anticipation and excitement leading up to an event as soon it starts? I'd love to hear some ideas! -------------------- Hi, I'm Jay Designing experiences for trade shows that drive ROI for our clients. #business #branding #sales #marketing #eventprofs

#YourTradeShowBFF Shaping Unforgettable Experiences in the Trade Show/Convention Industry for Nearly Two Decades
Ever heard the real estate mantra, "Location, Location, Location"? It's just as crucial on the trade show floor! 📍 Your booth's success isn't just measured by its size but where it stands. The key? High-traffic spots that guarantee visibility far beyond the dimensions of your space. Choosing the right location is like placing your ad on the front page of a newspaper versus the back – it’s not about the size of the ad, but where it's seen. Position your booth where it can't be missed and watch as the right attendees naturally gravitate toward you. Remember, in the world of trade shows, visibility trumps size every time. So, before you think about going bigger, think about going smarter. Don't just show up; stand out! Your strategic positioning might be the game-changer you need. 🌟 #rightlocation #sms #SMSExpOps #secretsauce #lmfs #yourtradeshowbff #yourtradeshowbfflisa

Still bummed I missed CEDIA, but here are some of the biggest takeaways I heard from the teams that were there: - Strong Market Buzz: The initial buzz and dealer activity at CEDIA suggest a healthy and competitive market. The fact that dealers were seen to visiting everyone "playing the field some might say" this year indicates a willingness to explore new options and partnerships. Great opportunity for us to build new relationships! And solidify others - Audio is back: The positive reception to the DJ area we had and our edge devices highlight the re-emergence in pro-grade audio for homes and outdoor spaces. - Glass Keypads are a Hit: The positive feedback on glass keypads was huge. There is a strong market for high-quality, aesthetically pleasing control interfaces. Dealers want choice - but also want to sell one brand! - Conditionals are a Success: The success of Conditionals proves dealers want more sophisticated automation and integration solutions. - Dealer Choice is Increasing: The increased choice in the industry means that finding the right partners is becoming more critical. - Quality Hardware is Paramount: Dealers are prioritizing products that are high quality, reliable, and profitable. - Saturday Slowdown: The slowdown on Saturday was real!!!! Our industry has matured, perhaps it's time to adjust the schedule. What were some of your big takeaways? Congrats to the Crestron team for another great show. John Yohanna, Michael Short, Salem Morched, Rosanne Lang, Joel Mulpeter, John Duffy, tan chuenphakorn Samantha M.

Did you miss out on The ARA Show this year? Hearing all the stories from your Equipment Rental peers? We've got you covered with a quick recap: Before we get into it, if you missed us at our booth and want to get your GPS and Telematics needs sorted before Spring we'd loved to show you how Frenter can help! https://lnkd.in/dNpwMF9F ⭐️ Our Top 3 takeaways from the show: ⭐️ 🤝 Collaboration in the industry is thriving. Get a group of rental companies together and no question is off the table. What have you done to solve this? What's your experience with this software? How do you deal with this customer? The industry will continue to thrive with this abundance mindset. 🤖 Tech literacy is high and adoption is growing. Construction as a whole gets a bad rap for being slow to adopt tech but folks we spoke with at the show came to the booth knowing what they needed and why it was important to their business. There are seemingly new ConTech companies weekly. Understanding what you're trying to achieve with tech can save a lot of future headaches. Plus, find a company that will support your business even after the contract is signed 🙋 🧑💻 Speaking of Tech...we may need our own section of the show in future years. For every challenge faced by Rental Companies there is a tech solution for it. All depends on how painful of a challenge that is to each rental company. We had a lot of great conversations with other software companies during the show and we're excited to build together in the space! Ultimately the tools that work seamlessly together for Rental Companies will thrive. Looking to build with us? Reach out: https://lnkd.in/dmv9zqhG We look forward to seeing you all next year in Vegas 🃏

As I gear up for #expowest each year, my weeks are filled with anticipation. I dive deep into research, absorbing every article, scrutinizing the list of exhibiting brands, and meticulously plotting my journey through the new hope floor plan app. The goal? To curate a strategic map of must-visit booths, ensuring that no stone is left unturned, no brand overlooked. But here's the twist - despite my best-laid plans, the moment I step onto that show floor, all those carefully crafted strategies evaporate. Overwhelmed by the electric atmosphere and the sheer scale before me, I find myself defaulting to the most primal of strategies: wandering. Aisle by aisle, booth by booth, letting curiosity guide me. This pivot from planner to explorer might seem like a deviation, but I've come to realize it's part of the magic of Expo West. It's in these unplanned moments that I stumble upon the unexpected - groundbreaking products, inspiring stories, and potential collaborations that I might have missed had I stuck rigidly to my agenda. Does anyone else experience this shift from meticulous planning to spontaneous exploration at trade shows like Expo West? How do you balance the desire to see it all with the reality of the show's vastness? Don't forget I'm offering FREE 15 minute On-the-go Packaging Reviews - here's where to schedule: https://lnkd.in/exwe7YST #ExpoWest #TradeShowStrategies #DesignThinking #Branding #Networking #betterwithbuttermilk #buttermilkcreative
