Did you know both copper & aluminum transformer windings can offer similar lifespans? The conductor material itself doesn’t significantly impact a transformer’s longevity. Instead, the critical factor for a transformer’s service life is actually the insulation between the conductors and coils within the winding. Contact our sales team to learn more about our manufacturing and quality control process to ensure reliable, long-term service from our transformers!

How to enlarge the SEN usage time? Recently one customer asks me this question. Because as plan he tells me it should use four hours for the steel liqure.Actually it only uses 150min. in this way it will increase some cost. We are so puzzled when we heard this news. Our technology team give them the advice to have a try: 1.for the preheating process, it has nearly nothing with the usage time. So we can ignore this reason. 2.For the working condition, it is also hard to revise the steel factory working condition, so we can ignore this problem. 3.We can change the raw material in this way the SEN can have better usage effect, in this way the cost will increase a little. 4. We advice the customer to change their drawing and in this way the usage time will increase. Anyway we will try all our best to help customer solve this problem. We will wait whether the customer will solve this problem or not.

Honesty, Integrity, transparency, value, attention to detail, quality, peace of mind... At Momentum Circuits, we assume (not unreasonably) that the above list is probably what most electronic manufacturers are looking for from their circuit board suppliers, but that doesn't always seem to be the case strangely. If a customer asks us to make a PCB in the UK rather than our offshore factories, there must be a very good reason why they are prepared to pay the associated premium to do so. We certainly don't ignore that instruction and send it offshore anyway and still charge you a UK price. If a customer tells us the laminate must be a specific nominated brand and type, then that is exactly what we use & certify. We don't just increase our margins by using a cheaper alternative and say nothing. If the customer needs full traceability, we put the factory UL traceability code on the boards along with the date codes , factory logo and flammability rating. We don't simply leave it off to avoid showing where we actually manufactured them or worse still, apply someone else's code. If you want an ENIG premium finish, we don't quote it in the cheaper HASL to appear better value because the flatness of the finish will give you headaches at the assembly stage with your fine pitched surface mount components. Momentum Circuits work to a strict code of supplier ethics that mean we quote for & supply exactly what you asked us for. That might make us less competitive against those that don't, but that is what we have virtually zero non-conformances. I personally wouldn't use any supplier that lied to me or ignored critical instructions, but we hear about this sort of malpractice all the time and those suppliers still get orders bizarrely. If integrity, honesty and good value are on your tick list for PCB suppliers, then please give us a call to discuss your circuit board requirements. Everything we supply is covered by a unique guarantee & underwrite policy that gives you total peace of mine. Did you know? It’s important for your copper supplier to provide the correct weight and length of coil for use in transformer manufacturing for cost efficiency. Why? ⬇️ Using more or less copper than needed can increase your manufacturing costs. Too much copper can lead to unnecessarily high material costs. Too little copper can lead to performance issues with transformers that ultimately increase operational costs from maintenance and energy inefficiency.

Is your steel channel up to standard? Product quality is a topic we find ourselves frequently talking about. Cost is always going to be a driver in decision-making however, we believe that product quality is ultimately king. The question to ask is; is it worth the risk? As steel specialists, our channel lengths are all manufactured in line with BS6946:1988 and importantly, marked accordingly. Any lengths missing the 'required' pieces shown in the accompanying image do not comply with this latest British Standard. If you want to find out more about the requirements to comply for steel channel lengths or to learn more about our product offering, contact our team on 0121 552 2100 or email sales@metpro.co.uk. Gold wire is a popular choice among packaging manufacturers due to its high electrical conductivity, good thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, good toughness, and excellent chemical stability. However, gold wire is expensive, resulting in high packaging costs. One discovery by LED manufacturers has shown that the smaller the diameter of the gold wire, the lower the cost and the higher the profit for gold wire suppliers. However, LED customers who use gold wire should be cautious when purchasing gold wires that cut corners on diameter as it may result in higher resistance of the wire, reducing the fusing current, and greatly reducing the life of the LED light source. Precision instruments must be used to detect the diameter of the gold wire. For instance, if the diameter of the incoming gold wire is half of the original, then the measured resistance of the drawn gold wire is one quarter of the normal. Therefore, LED customers who opt to purchase smaller diameter gold wires must ensure that they are drawing the correct wire to avoid such risks. Remember, the lifespan of a smaller diameter gold wire is bound to be shorter than that of a larger diameter gold wire. This fact is not detectable by simple inspection by the packaging factory. So, be cautious and ensure that you are purchasing the correct gold wire.
