The installation of electric vehicle chargepoints are to be increased via government support. We are seeing barriers to entry for people being removed. It's Finally Happening! #OZEV has launched higher grant funding of up to £2,500 per socket for state-funded #education institutions until March 2025, and Cassidy Systems has all the information you need to charge! ◻ Key Information: The workplace charging scheme (WCS) is available for state-funded #schools, #colleges, #nurseries and #academies to boost the charge point facilities for staff and visitors. The Federal Transit Authority (FTA) has announced the availability of nearly $1.5 billion to replace, rehabilitate, purchase, or lease buses, related equipment, or facilities with alternatives like propane autogas under the Buses and Bus Facility Program and the Low or No Emission Grant Program. Who is eligible? States, local governmental authorities, Indian Tribes, and fixed-route bus operators and services are eligible applicants. What does it cover? The UK government has just announced additional funding to councils, homeowners and renters to help install more public charging. Will this money ever see the light of day? Is it really being deployed in the areas we need it - the right speed charging not just slow lampposts! The whole LEVI funding has created gridlock of decisions in local authorities with nothing happening and to be honest £2m to Sunderland - that wont touch the sides of what they really need. As ChargeUK has said a number of times £6bn has been raised in private finance for EV charging infrastructure with the majority targeting faster speeds. We need less of this and more Government action to: 1. Speed up the Grid Process 2. Put pressure on planners in local authorities to allow charging to be installed (and the power infra) via Permitted Development 3. Cash targeted to hard to reach areas - rural or poor power supply Solving the EV charging problems of 2024 with a policy from the 2010's isnt the way forward here and if you really look into this a lot of the 'money' allocated to date has NOT been spent! https://lnkd.in/eV7Zn8xk

If so you might want to talk to them about the approaching deadline (March 2025) for the government #grant for eligible state-funded #education institutes to provide support towards the costs of the purchase, installation and infrastructure of #ElectricVehicle #ChargePoints. They can get 75% off the cost to buy and install charge points up to a maximum of:  ✅£2500 per socket  ✅40 sockets across all sites (this includes any applications made previously through the Workplace Charging Scheme) We can assist with site visits & help them find the best charger for the job.
