What better way to celebrate Easter than to have our very own Easter egg hunt? 🔎 🐤 The whole team paused work to take part in the hunt, which involved searching the office for a cream egg with their name on it, after which they were rewarded with a bigger chocolate egg. 🍫 Some took longer than others to find theirs but, in the end, there were chocolatey smiles all around. 😋 #easter #team #leadgeneration #digitalmarketing

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 🍩 I walked into a hotel lobby and stumbled upon this DONUT Board. As shown in the picture below, they were dangling these doughnuts and inviting you to help yourselves. As many as you want. And the sign read, “𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗮𝗽. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁𝘀.” I certainly qualify and It was both an amusing and tempting sight to behold! And yes, I helped myself to the smallest one, which helped persuade me to give the hotel a five-star rating ⭐ And yes, I am easily persuaded when food is around. 🤣 There are three quick takeaways that we can learn from Donut. 1️⃣ 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 Donuts teach us to find joy in simple pleasures. Despite their basic ingredients, donuts bring happiness to many. Sometimes, in our pursuit of complexity and sophistication, we overlook the beauty in simplicity. Donuts remind us that even the most straightforward things can bring immense joy and satisfaction. 2️⃣ 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 Donuts come in various flavours, shapes, and sizes. This diversity teaches us to appreciate differences and embrace variety. Just like donuts, people have unique qualities, backgrounds, and perspectives. Donuts show us that it's not just about the classic ring-shaped treat; there's room for everyone, no matter their differences. 3️⃣ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Donuts undergo a transformation from simple dough to a delightful, sweet treat. Similarly, in our lives, we face challenges and transformations. The donut's journey encourages us to see that difficulties and changes can lead to something beautiful and rewarding if we approach them positively differently. This is 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵@𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗣 Signing Off. May You 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 In The Brand New World. ⚡ If you love my thought-provoking post… 😎 It will be a privilege to be followed by you. #riseup #riseupglobal #humanleadership #motivation #mentalhealth #leadership #donuts #celebrate #laugh #diversityequityinclusion #simplicity

Today is R U OK? Day, 12 September 2024 - but life happens every day. Let’s make every day an opportunity to check in with those around us, not just today. A simple conversation can go a long way in supporting someone who may need it. At Terra Firma Business Consulting, we believe that sharing moments together can be a powerful way to connect. Today, we're bringing cupcakes into our offices to spark conversations and continue building a supportive community. Take care of yourselves, and remember, it’s always a good time to ask, "Are you OK?" 😊 #RUOKDay #SupportEachOther #MentalHealthAwareness #CupcakesAndConversations

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🍩 Today is the perfect excuse to take a little break and savor these delicious treats. Did you know? Donuts have a fascinating history: ⦾ Dutch settlers brought the first donuts to New York, calling them "olykoeks" or oily cakes. ⦾ Early donuts didn’t have holes, they were simply fried dough. ⦾ In geometry, the shape of a donut is called a Torus. ⦾ A staggering 10 billion donuts are sold annually in the United States! Remember, happy #employees mean happy #customers and successful #projects. Let's celebrate with a donut (or two)! 😉 #employerbranding #happyemployees

🧐🧐You might be concerned about how others perceive you. Remember, your passion is the key to unlocking any door, while your skills keep it open. Passion comes first, and skills follow, but both are essential for success. Below is content from book of “unreasonable hospitality“: Every week, the general managers and chefs of USHG met around the big table in the boardroom at the offices in Union Square. At the end of the meeting, everyone would share their pet projects, and while I was the youngest person in the room, I was so excited about everything we were doing at MoMA, I talked more than anyone else there: "Guys, we got this amazing matte-black BUNN coffeemaker!" "I'm throwing a company-wide competition for best barista. Send your team, because I convinced a coffee company to donate a trip to Italy as a prize!" "You guys have to hear about this gelato cart— seriously, have you ever seen anything as perfect as this tiny blue spoon?" Daniel was probably irritated by how much I talked in those meetings. but he could sense a passion that made him think I might be a good match for the task ahead - the new GM for the new project. Counting on your passion, keep sharpening your skills! #unreasonablehospitality #passionfirst #skillschallenge

Storytime: When I was 24 years old, I spent four years trying to open a Brewery with a couple of my best friends. It failed to get off the ground. Four years. Down the drain. We put our hard-earned money into the project. Shed blood, sweat, and tears (minus the blood). Countless ups and downs. And no Brewery to show for it. Zero revenue earned. No customers served. Zero pints of delicious beer drank. Dream crushed. Ok, end of sob story. While my Brewery never came to fruition, several lessons were learned from that adventure. Here are a few: 1. Be sure to have an excellent support system when you're going into business for yourself. 2. Have more money in reserves than you initially planned for. Seriously, if you have access to extra capital, you might need it. 3. Improve your selling and persuasion skills. You might think you're good now, but you aren't even close to being as good as you NEED to be. Get better. 4. Understand what you're signing up for. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. It will be a TON of hard work and sacrifice. I'm forever grateful for my failed Brewery. Why? Because I learn more from my losses than my wins. Anyone out there have a failed business story? #Business #failure #inspiration #lifelessons

Inspiring to spend the evening with tech-forward COOs, sharing commonalities in ways of thinking and experiences. Including, it turns out, walking fast. Interested to hear what unique value businesses find in a COO role? In an era of rapid technological and process transformation, it can be powerful and can also take many forms. #chiefoperatingofficer #coo
A massive shout out to last week's COO Roundtable dinner guests, thank you for a wonderful evening Anna Roberts, Valeria Leonardi, Tamara Castelli, Bethany Ayers, Frances Mannion, Eli Rezinsky and Maris Liigmann for coming along, sharing experiences, breaking bread and being great company. Thank you to the wonderful Vidal Meric for well structured and thought provoking hosting and for the brilliant handmade cards, a lovely touch, you can just see them on the table. I absolutely love the dinners as a way to really support COOs to get to know each other in a safe and welcoming environment. Our Christmas dinner at Barge East is the next evening meal for our COOs to look forward to at the end of November, I can't wait! #COO #ChiefOperatingOfficer #Community #Dinner #Coaching
