This clip feels like the number of opportunities I reposted this week 🤣 — encouraging to see more TA/HR-related roles, which hopefully signals early signs of growth for companies going into FY25 🙏 Also, what is up with old job postings? Applying to an old job posting can be a gamble, given that a job seeker's time is valuable, but there are cases where it's worth it: Posting Still Active: If the job is still listed on the company's website or LinkedIn, there’s a good chance they’re still accepting applications, including referrals. Highly Relevant Experience: If you meet the qualifications closely and have a robust and relevant background, it’s worth applying. A great match can sometimes prompt companies to reopen their search. Strategic or Difficult-to-Fill Role: Companies may take longer to hire for specialized roles that might be harder to fill, even if the posting is older (Here's one at ŌURA: https://lnkd.in/gxe2r5-E - Hannah Siegel). Internal Movement Periods: Many companies review external applications after completing internal candidate considerations, which can delay the process. Company Growth Signals: If the company is expanding, especially in your target area, an older posting could indicate upcoming growth needs, so they might still be interested in great candidates. #newsfeed #findingyournext #talentandpotential #intentionalhiring #peopleteam #oldjobpostings #referrals Orgs I like that #supportjobseekers and/or build talent communities: The Riveter Talent Collective Syelo Ventures Transform The Authentic Asian JobPixel Jobscan Teal Voray Career Contessa | Job Search + Career Advice Wonsulting goodpeople Sidebar URx Recruiting Brainfood Fitt Insider

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head Grower at Bevo Farms Ltd! 🌱 Grateful for the Journey, Faithful for What’s Ahead 🌱 Sometimes in the midst of job hunting, we become so focused on landing the role that we overlook whether it’s the right fit for us. It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to impress employers, forgetting to reflect on who we are and what we value. But interviews, if we listen closely, often give us subtle cues about a company’s culture and values. Recently, I faced a tough decision between two great companies—both with strong values and cultures. After much thought, I chose the one where my intuition kept signaling, “This is it.” I’m so grateful for every interview that helped me reach this point. For anyone who’s in the middle of job searching, remember: if one door doesn’t open, a better one is waiting. Trust the process, stay positive, and know that the right fit will come along. 🌟 #JobSearch #Gratitude #CareerGrowth #Intuition #Positivity #RightFit

Forging Your Path: The Importance of Personal Growth During Job Hunting As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of career transitions, it’s essential to recognize the value of personal growth beyond the confines of job applications and interviews. Over the last 4 months, I've delved into the world of blacksmithing as a new hobby—a craft that has not only ignited my creativity but also imparted invaluable lessons that resonate deeply with the job search journey. Much like the meticulous art of blacksmithing, finding the right job requires patience, resilience, and a willingness to adapt. In the forge, every hammer strike shapes raw material into something refined and purposeful. Similarly, every setback and challenge in our job hunt molds us into more resilient, adaptable individuals. One of the fundamental principles of blacksmithing is the concept of heat and pressure transforming raw metal into something stronger and more resilient. Likewise, the heat of uncertainty and the pressure of rejection in the job market can refine our skills, sharpen our focus, and ultimately prepare us for the opportunities that lie ahead. Just as a blacksmith must continually hone their craft, we must invest in continuous personal growth to stand out in a competitive job market. Whether it's learning new skills, volunteering, or pursuing hobbies. From improving communication skills through community involvement to fostering creativity through artistic pursuits, each experience adds depth and dimension to our professional persona. As I continue my own journey, I am reminded of the enduring metaphor of the blacksmith's forge—a symbol of transformation, resilience, and the power of perseverance. #personalgrowth #resilience #adapatability #perseverence #opentowork

This past weekend while we were deep sea fishing, I kept pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming about the job offer I had just received Thursday evening. And I also got to thinking... Navigating this tough job market is like deep-sea fishing in turbulent waters. You set out on your boat into the vast, unpredictable ocean, equipped with your best gear and knowledge. The fish are out there, but they're scattered and often hidden deep below the surface. You have to be patient and persistent, dropping your line again and again, often with no bites. When you do get a nibble, you need skill and finesse to reel it in, all while competing with other fishermen in the same rough waters. Despite the challenges, the thrill of finally hooking a big one keeps you going, knowing that each cast could be the one that brings in the catch of a lifetime. just keep dropping your line. Have patience and be persistent. Soon you'll be reeling in the big one. #JobMarket #Jobs #CandidateExperience #Employers #Hiring
