🌟 Market Insights Alert 🌟 The Chinese market demands a particular mindset to gain its trust and experience game-changing growth. It’s a mindset similar to athletes participating to the Olympic Games : no matter your past accomplishments, everything is to be proven here and now. When executed well, the results are truly worth it! In this article Gemma A. Williams aptly stated, unfortunately “Most foreign fast-fashion brands seem to be caught in a catch-22: until the Chinese market contributes significantly to their global business, their leaders are unlikely to invest the resources needed to drive game-changing growth.” Nothing great comes without embracing it 100% with an open mind ✨ For more details and support in realizing your ambitions in China and Southeast Asia, let’s connect. https://lnkd.in/gX4BqQWm

Jutta's CHINA WEEKLY: Guochao - embracing China's history! ⛩ ❤️ A key trend for marketers to understand China is the Guochao Wave (= national trend). Essentially, this trend is about the celebration of Chinese culture and style, and with the growing nationalistic sentiment among Chinese youth, more Guochao products are entertained. Guochao does not only cover physical products, but it itself is a concept that can be used in films, literature, marketing, songs, or other forms of media. Incorporating Chinese cultural and aesthetic can be a huge boost to any brand in China. Cultural confidence plays an increasing importance for the domestic consumption of Chinese people and the Chinese economy. If we look at current trends in the Chinese Automotive market, we also can see that Chinese people are proud of their highly innovative local OEMs, fresh designs and high-tech features in Chinese car models. Should German brands also incorporate this trend to be successful in the Chinese market? What do you think? Stay tuned for my next WEEKLY, yours Jutta from Beijing Dior and the Guochao trend: Menswear collection (Source: jingdaily.com)
