The Eth NEST is now actively working to promote the peacefull use of nuclear and radiation technologies for sustainable development. Education in this field has been given less emphasis or seen as complex beyound its nature or irrelevant and thus has been unavailable in the basis of the Ethiopian educational system. The country has now envisioned a nuclear science and technology center; a Nuclear Power Plant and Nuclear and Radiophrmacy Centers Development in its important referal hospitals. The human resource development in these sectors is therefore very critical for a succefull mational nuclear program.
Great strides by Ethiopia! 👌Nuclear is such an underrated technology for driving the much needed development on the African continent. We need to let the masses on the continent know about Nuclear and its benefits, and I think it starts by emphasizing it a bit in our early education , this will foster a culture of understanding the technology and therefore there will be less resistance socially of nuclear developments projects down the line.
