🏆🏆🏆🏆𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 🏆🏆🏆🏆 This week, I saw 2 personal bests, one work, one personal. 𝟏) - 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 - Managed my PB on Squats of 60KG. I nearly hit this a few months ago, had a huge confidence wobble, and had to take a massive reset. At the time, I felt like I had failed, and was disappointed, but only 8 weeks later, I am not only back to where I was, I am further forward. 🏋️♀️💪 𝟐) 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 - As I approach nearly 2 years at Nerdio - 22 months, 7 quarters, I look at the phenomenal growth we are seeing from the UKI #channelpartners. The pipeline creation in Q3 was the highest we have ever seen, and honestly, I still don't even think we are anywhere near the peak, in fact, miles off. 📈🆙 So excited as we roll into Q4 to have my #team that contribute enormously to the channel alongside me as Partner Development Manager. The secret sauce? ✨ Actor Model ✨ Think about all those complex game objects: Players, consoles, game instances, weapons caches, leaderboards. These aren’t just simple interactions. They're intricate, dynamic, and scaled to handle millions. With millisecond latency. 💡 Here’s how: 📌 The Actor Model achieves high concurrency and throughput. 📌 It moves away from traditional n-tier architecture. 📌 Instead, it uses actors to encapsulate logic and isolated states. 📌 Actors interact via message-passing, preserving order. 📌 They spawn, communicate, and manage their own states independently. Key Principles: 1️⃣ Actors are units of concurrent computation. 2️⃣ They can create other actors. 3️⃣ Interaction happens through messages. 4️⃣ Each actor has its own isolated, immutable state. 5️⃣ Actors process messages sequentially. There is a powerful Microsoft implementation of this Actor Model. 👉 Orleans 👈 Orleans Actors are called Grains with identity, behavior and state.
