Heineken Experience & reflection on leadership. It was my first stop in Amsterdam and I recommend it to everyone. Besides having a few glasses of beer, I learned a lot about the company. It is still run by the original family, and it was at the vanguard of the labor laws (check the video out to learn how so). This is not an ad for the company, although my dad would be over the moon If I got sponsorship from Heineken. But rather, it got me thinking about how important the values of leadership are for the quality of products and human capital. We are often stuck in a fast-paced life where everything needs to be cheaper to get more profit for the companies. But many times, the quality of work conditions and life is worse, and it's harder to be happy. As a person who loves to work, because I am useful, I also believe that the workplace shouldn't be a punishment.
