Charitable giving is a big part of the season, but how do you share it without sounding self-congratulatory? The key to incorporating charity into your marketing is authenticity. It’s not about showcasing your generosity-it’s about telling the story behind the cause and how your business aligns with its values. This time of year is perfect for connecting with your audience through purpose-driven stories. Whether your team is volunteering, hosting a fundraiser, or supporting a local cause, focus your messaging on: Why the cause resonates with your business. The real impact of the effort. Encouraging others to take part. By centering your content on the cause and the community, rather than your contribution, your message feels genuine and inspiring. How does your business incorporate giving into its brand story? #AuthenticMarketing #B2BConnections #CharitySeason

This week, we’re focusing on the different funding sources your nonprofit can rely on to be able to achieve sustainable growth. Here are some of the key sources to consider: 💰 Donations, grants and sponsorships: The most traditional way to fund a nonprofit includes individual donations, grants and sponsorships. We recommend diversifying your funding by creating a strong network of individual donors, while actively pursuing institutional grants, corporate sponsorships, and in-kind donations as long as they align with your mission and vision. 🔑 Membership fees: Building a strong membership base can provide a reliable source of income and foster a dedicated community of supporters. Think about structuring membership fees in various tiers for different levels of commitment, offering exclusive benefits to members. 🛍️ Earned income: Being a nonprofit doesn’t mean you can’t generate revenue by offering goods or services related to your mission - think paid workshops, merchandise, or consulting services! Let us know in the comments what strategies you use to fund your nonprofit, and stay tuned for more tips and insights next week! 🙌 #FuelYourMission #FundraisingTips #NonprofitSuccess #FundingSources #HowToNonprofit #NonprofitLeadership #NewIntellectualsNetwork #NonprofitManagement #NonprofitTips #LeadershipDevelopment #NonprofitResources

Am I missing something? Why is the importance of inviting and engaging 'everyday' #donors being touted as a new thing? When did we start thinking #fundraising only involves major donors? Is there really a mindset that other donors aren't worth the time? Did we forget where those major donors came from or what their #giving journey was? Fundraising, at its best, is about connecting with people who care about our causes, inviting them to be part of the mission and thanking them for what they make possible. Whoever those people are, treating them with respect and appreciation is what we should do because they make our work possible. Period. Aside from the incredibly rare exception, no one shows up to an organisation and gives millions at the same time they're introducing themselves. The best major donor prospects are current supporters. If you've not thought before now that all donors are important for your fundraising, you've got some catching up to do. Ignore those 'everyday' donors at your own peril.

Did you know: Year-End Giving Drops to 5% of Annual Online Revenue Online fundraising at year end accounted for 5% of annual donations — a 2% drop from the previous year, M+R discovered in its annual “Benchmarks” report. Year-end donors don’t seem to carry the same weight they used to for many organizations, proving that putting an emphasis on long-term donors is the better long-term strategy. Onboarding new recurring donors remains a lucrative approach as they maintain higher lifetime values, according to M+R, with monthly gifts making up 31% of online fundraising. How was your year-end giving campaign?
