Full-stack Developer specializing in SaaS development | Sleek website design | 4+ Years of freelancing | 30+ Clients across the globe
I Literally hate UI/UX designers! Hear me out first. You've probably noticed an increase of self-proclaimed UI/UX designers recently. Especially on Instagram, where every second guy/girl does part-time UI/UX design. UI design is a bullshit job for me! Companies trust designers more than developers, which may seem contradictory. However to them, creating a prototype with zero usability may benefit their business. Also, the trend of founders comparing prototype pricing to coding is making me sick. Of course, the development will cost you extra; how is this even a question? I've worked with a number of companies that had a great prototype in Figma / XD but were struggling for the past 2-3 years. So why wouldn't they? The prototypes were designed with 100+ pages of detail, and they believe their 40-50% work is done. In all of this confusion, no one ever mentions UX design; after all, how can you call yourself a UX designer if you only create designs on Figma? Where are you conducting A/B testing? Where's your data your personas? If it looks good, it doesn't have to be a simple to use product!! Development is a complex task; you must ensure that everything is right so that clients may have a smooth workflow for consumer acquisition. It's not as easy as drawing boxes and circles I know true UI designers who are dedicated to their work, understand human interaction design, design philosophy, and can help you build your brand. And I REALLY, REALLY respect them. I request founders/company owners to hire teams. Teams have to work together and will never try to rip you off, and you only have to pay after your product is complete. #webdeveloper #developer #devops #founders #hiring

Designer// UI/UX Digital Product designer with a background in higher education & textile design│ creative | learning enthusiast | Prototyping, Research, Design Thinking, Agile Methodologies
Positioning yourself as a UI/UX designer and finding the right job can be a serious challenge, especially when transitioning from a different career. I’ve earned tons of experiences and skills from my previous roles, but I often wonder: is it right to list them here? Are they really irrelevant? With no real experience in this market, I find myself applying as a junior, even though I’m older than the typical junior candidate. The negative responses to my applications can be disheartening. I polish my UI/UX portfolio daily, but it’s honestly harder than I expected. It seems it will never be perfect, nor finished. I’m bombarded with amazing design samples and portfolios, realizing that those designers are also seeking jobs, often with more experience and more beautiful, real projects as showcases. But this isn’t a hopeless verbalization—just me, thinking out loud. If you’ve been through this transition or have advice, I’d love to connect. We all start somewhere, and I’m determined to bring my passion and skills to the UX/UI field. #UXDesign #UIDesign #CareerTransition #DesignCommunity #JobSearch #NeverGiveUp

Huge props to Jayapal Reddy⚡ for calling this out! Finding the right UX talent goes beyond just Figma skills. Companies often miss out on crucial aspects like: User empathy: Can the designer truly understand user needs and frustrations? Problem-solving: Does the candidate possess the ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions through design? Communication skills: Can they effectively collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and users? Research & testing: Does the designer understand the importance of user research and usability testing? User Journey Mapping: Can they map the entire user journey, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement? Consumer Behavior: Does the candidate understand user psychology and how it impacts design decisions? These skills are vital for crafting intuitive and user-centered experiences. While Figma proficiency is helpful, it's just one tool in the UX toolkit. Let's shift the focus towards hiring designers who prioritize user needs, understand user journeys, and translate consumer behaviour into successful products! #UXDesign #cfbr #UserFocus #BeyondTheTool #HireRight
The Hidden Cost of Misguided UIUX Hiring: Why 90% of Businesses Fail 🤐 Many startups and even tech giants misuse the concept of UI/UX design in hiring. They often see UI/UX designers as mere interface designers who work in Figma and handle branding. This narrow view is fundamentally flawed. Brands that prioritize looks over usability are setting themselves up for failure. 90% of them either go out of business or face constant challenges. Industry pioneers like Don Norman and Jakob Nielsen emphasize the importance of emotional and clean design. However, our focus has shifted to tools like Figma rather than user-centered design. It's disheartening to see job postings seeking UI/UX designers primarily for their skills in tools like Figma. We must advocate for a better understanding of UX principles and ensure hiring practices reflect true user-centered design. PS: Don't just look for someone who knows every design tool and can do branding graphics. If you need a single person to wear many hats, consider a generalist or T-shaped designer. If budget allows, hire uiux specialists. #UXDesign #UserExperience #DesignThinking #DonNorman #EmpathyInDesign #InclusiveDesign #HireRight #uxhiring #hiring #productdesigner #uiux #ux
