This includes establishing Coding Clubs at three new school partners in under-resourced neighborhoods, allowing more students the opportunity to learn vital computer science skills with the guidance of technology mentors. Here’s what new funding will help us accomplish this year: $50 can cover the cost of flyers, posters, and staff time to recruit students for a school-based Coding Club $75 can provide 5 students with access to Codio, an IDE and digital learning platform where students code their projects and access learning materials $100 can cover staff time to recruit, train, and support new volunteer mentors $250 can help cover the cost of CNM-pact, software that measures student learning outcomes $500 can provide after-hours pay to a teacher liaison supporting a Coding Club $1,500 can create new computer science curriculum for Bold Idea students Every little bit counts and can add up to have a huge impact! #computerscience #codingclubs #boldidea #mentoring #levelup

With immense dedication and perseverance, we are thrilled to announce the formation of The Programming School CIC! This journey has not been without its challenges, but our unwavering belief in the potential of every child has driven us to create a not-for-profit community interest company aimed at supporting and nurturing children's digital creative career paths. Our Journey: * Overcoming obstacles with determination and passion. * Uniting a team committed to making a difference. * Transforming challenges into stepping stones for success. Our Vision: Through our upcoming evening and holiday courses, we aim to empower 9-16 year olds with the skills they need for a successful career in tech. All profits will be reinvested into: * Providing essential equipment for schools. * Organizing exciting computer science trips. * Offering scholarships for deserving students to join our programs. This formation is a significant step on our journey, but it's just the beginning! Our next goal is to launch these courses and expand our reach, touching more lives and making a greater impact. 🎉 Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators! 💡 Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Junior Board member, Aedyn Kourakos, the girls at the Mission International Rescue School in the Dominican Republic are diving into the exciting world of coding. 🛠️ She donated 10 Little Bits kits (Sphero) and created Spanish video tutorials, bringing hands-on experience to help the students get started. These bright young minds are bringing their creativity to life — programming circuits that light up, play sounds, and move in ways they never thought possible. The best part? They're learning valuable STEM skills while having so much fun! 🎶💡 Aedyn's STEM journey began with Little Bits, and now she's paying it forward. We bridge the learning gap for low-income Black and Latinx families by providing vital programs in literacy, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and life skills. Our Mobile STE(A)M Lab is at the forefront of this mission, offering hands-on experiences and access to cutting-edge technology to inspire the next generation of innovators. Why Support the CIRCLE Mobile STEAM Lab: !1 )Diverse Representation: Black and Latinx individuals, combine, make up roughly 24% (Black workers make up around 8%, Latinx workers represent approximately 15%) of the STEM workforce. Keep That Gold Shining (KTG) is a long-standing non-profit organisation supported by ETA Operations to enhance student education and development. Several programs are supported, including the MAP program, which focuses on mathematics and comprehensive learning support for students. Additionally, there is a coding project that equips students with essential coding skills and knowledge to prepare them for future opportunities in the Information and Communication Technology sector.
