Employee: I exceeded my sales targets and added $1.5MM in new net deposits to the branch, but I only received the minimum quarterly performance bonus. I would like to request a reconsideration for the top end of the bonus range, given my performance. ⁉️🤔 What am I seeing in the bank governance, risk, and compliance market? Despite a marked drop in bank hiring across all roles and some pretty high profile layoffs, we have seen increased demand for GRC talent as 2024 has progressed. This has been driven by increased regulation, shareholder interest/concern, and staff attrition. Internal Audit, Operational Risk, and Regulatory compliance teams continue to hire sustainably. At this point, most candidates are either passively or actively looking. Banks are deliberately hiring, requiring candidates to undergo lengthy assessment periods, and holding firm on compensation. And every year is always a milestone, another fjord to endless opportunities. Lovely cakes in the fintech space so big enough, every year i cut a piece, every year i ensure i cut the best pieces from the best cakes. Eating lot of cakes could give blood sugar crashes, or calories for lot of energy. I stay with the latter, so i eat pieces from healthy cakes.
