The design of the Singapore Pavilion, by DP Architects group in collaboration with Kingsmen Exhibits (Kingsmen Creatives Ltd), for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan is unveiled today. CEO of DP Architects and design lead for the project, Ar. Seah Chee Huang was present at the preview with managing director of Kingsmen Exhibits, Mr Anthony Chong to share the first insights of the Pavilion. Representatives from Singapore Tourism Board as well as Ambassador Ong Eng Chuan, Commissioner General of the Singapore Pavilion were also present.   Inspired by the ‘Little Red Dot’, DP envisioned the Pavilion as a physical manifestation of this term of endearment, a representation of qualities and characteristics that are #uniquelySingapore. Conceived in alignment with the theme of the expo – ‘Designing Future Society for our Lives’, the Pavilion embodies more than the ‘Little Red Dot’ to stand as a beacon – A Dream Sphere – of a wider collective aspiration for a more positive and more #sustainable future. This #callforglobalaction is not only articulated through its immersive experience which is curated to invite visitors to explore the infinite possibilities of dreams of a #betterthansustainable and progressive future. 🌍 All Eyes on Osaka as World Expo Timber Pavilions Take Shape! ⏰ As the countdown to the 2025 World Expo in Osaka continues, the excitement builds with the rise of stunning timber-based pavilions, including significant participation from Ukraine in a powerful "appeal for peace." With over 150 countries set to showcase their innovations, the Expo promises to celebrate culture and sustainability. 🔎 Key Highlights: 1️⃣ Ukraine's Meaningful Participation: Despite the ongoing challenges of war, Ukraine's commitment to the Expo underscores the importance of solidarity and hope. Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura emphasised the significance of their attendance as a symbol of resilience and the quest for peace, especially in light of Russia's withdrawal from the event. 2️⃣ Emphasis on Sustainability: Timber is at the forefront of this Expo, with many pavilions constructed from easily disassembled and reused materials. The Italian Pavilion, designed by Mario Cucinella, exemplifies this approach with its sustainable construction from cross-laminated timber and glulam, embodying the theme of “Art regenerates Life.” 3️⃣ Innovative Designs: The Japanese Pavilion, designed by Nikken Sekkei, explores the cycle of life through its circular architecture and biogas energy system. Spotlight on innovation: this June, NABA partnered with Eni to launch an inspiring urban regeneration project aimed at revitalising the external areas of Rome’s iconic Ostiense Gazometro, the heart of the ROAD – Rome Advanced District From 11 to 13 September, twelve talented students from NABA’s Design Area took part in the #NABAxROAD project, running an intensive creative workshop and working in pairs to design installations and adaptable solutions to bring renewed life into surrounding spaces.  Out of all the inspiring proposals, the winning concept was announced on November 7 at NABA’s Milan Campus: "Effetto Gazometro" by Federico Giuberti and Arcangelo Pettinati—a concept featuring modular installations that reimagine the Gasometer in miniature, creating vibrant social spaces that seamlessly blend creativity and functionality to inspire a community-focused environment.  Watch the video on our YouTube channel and relive all the stages of the project: https://lnkd.in/dttz8aSk
